BCS anyone?

Wonderbar!

The Ags have a lot of work ahead to build the program, but ya gotta start somewhere. I'm pleased with the GA hiring and the obvious enthusiasm he has brought--not to mention the new coaches and recruiting potential. It will be interesting to see how things look during Spring ball in a few months.

BCS? haha good one.

This is one Aggie who will be happy with the New Mexico Bowl next year. We better learn to walk before we start making plans for round off back handspring double flips in the pike position.

At least we're crawling at the moment. But let's walk before we job and then sprint.

I'm exciting and think we're headed in the right direction.
Re Anonymous | 11:40 a.m. Jan. 7, 2009
I agree with you on how we have to learn how to walk first. I think GA is starting this thing right. Using his success in the BCS game as a recruiting tool. I am glad he coached that game because it showed me what you can do with average athletes and a great scheme. Allowing only 10 points to one of the many No 1's in the country. Gives me great hope.
And GA is also showing the excitement I missed with BG. He will get into players faces and make them play hard. I'm fine with the New Mexico Bowl.
Go Aggies!!

I am a Huge BYU, and i am way excited for the Aggies. It has been a tough road for them lately. On the same line I am kind of worried about Gary Anderson. He is one of the best recruiters in the whole country, and could potentially take some of the recuits that BYU would have got. Oh well. GO GA

Hey Jared. thanks for actually getting something more than a couple of sentances in the paper on this unlike the other guys who barely know the Aggies exist.

Ditto to above...Many thanks to Jared for getting us some Aggie info, it is nice for those of us that don't live in the state.

First off, nice try Aggie fan.

"He is one of the best recruiters in the whole country, and could potentially take some of the recuits that BYU would have got"

Seriously? You are kidding right? Like any kid that has an offer to BYU would turn it down and take an offer from USU. That might be the funniest thing I have ever read on these comment boards.

RE: RE: BYU FAN | 4:28 p.m. Jan. 7, 2009
I was not joking when i wrote those. I am not talking about out of state kids that are recruited by BYU, but the in-state kids. Gary Anderson is a stud recuiter. He has won a couple of awards. He won a reward that stated that he was the best recruiter, that is not in the BCS. And yes that is over Bronco, and Whitt, and Paul Peterson at Boise. GA is a stud, i wish he was down here at BYU. You watch Utah State will be toward the top of the WAC in two years. Of course i want Utah State to succeed, they are in utah. Having to face GA in recruiting is the thing that scares me. Call me an Aggie Fan if you want, but I am a BYU fan. Anyway if you don't know that GA is a great recuiter, you don't have any credibility anyways.

RE: That one BYU Fan...

I guess it all depends on how fast he wants to play. Better than that Walk-on stuff that "My Little Pony" pulls on everyone...

wait and see
4 commitments. 3 from california and 1 from utah. Sounds a lot like the past 4 or 5 coaches
To Utah County Aggie | 10:09 p.m. Jan. 7, 2009
Actually we have 7 committments and 4 are from local kids. Sounds a lot like a new day in Aggie Football. We have three 3-star players in this class already. We've only had 6 3-star or better players since 2002 prior to this year. Get your season tickets now!
hsfootballfan | 10:07 p.m. Jan. 7, 2009
utah county aggie,

Take off your shoes and count to 7. That's how many recruits GA has so far and 4 of them are from Utah. Did I go slow enough for you?
Make it 8 and counting | 11:53 p.m. Jan. 7, 2009
With Travis Van Leuween, top reciever in the state from Timpview commiting, there are now 4 3-star commits. BYU can't offer all of the best players in the state nor can Utah. There will be plenty of top notch players left that will want to play and make a difference instead of standing on the sidelines holding clipboards.
WARM COATS! | 9:12 a.m. Jan. 8, 2009
Boy, they must have put some REALLY WARM COATS on those guys from CA when they were at Logan on Monday. Don't they know that it's FREEZING up there. Why would you want to play in Logan when you could play in CA????
