Interesting article. I have seen many names attached to Mormonism while on road trips.
Now, naming a subdivision after leaders in the Book of Mormon is going a little far. I don't see it as trying to create a "holier than thou" environment, but it certainly is a tacky marketing method to attract members of the church (unfortunately, those attracted to this sort of marketing often come off with this sort of "holier than thou" attitude). I have a hard time with this sort of marketing - I don't see it any better than the money changers in the temple.
