Way to go Utes!!!!
6-5 Michigan. By the way in twenty four years the Utes will most likely have one or two more to remember, 1984 was a long time ago. We celebrated that one with you but after about ten years we finally forgot about it and went on to something a little more current to get excited about.
Dude, 1984 was 25 YEARS AGO! That's a quarter century. Get over it - stop living in the past. There's good football being played in 2009.....by the Utes. 1984 is irrelevant.....just like BYU football.
It's amazing how memories slip. Some from the TDS say that Utah played in too many close games and were lucky, therefore they do not deserve to be #1. What they are forgetting is that in 1984 they, the TDS, barely beat a bad Michigan team (sound familiar), relied on some luck to remain undefeated against a bad Hawaii team (Kyle Morrell saving the game by jumping over the offensive line), as well as a three point come from behind win at home against Wyoming. The game in SLC that year was no blowout either. So if I am right, the TDS in 1984 won a NC with a couple of close games and some luck. Imagine that. A lot like Utah's season.
One huge difference would be that the TDS did not play a team that year that FINISHED in the top 15 in any of the polls. Utah will have beaten at least 2.
By the way, the 1984 NC helped pave the way for the BCS. Another reason not to like the TDS.
HEY COUGARS, STOP LiViNG iN THE PAST AND BEiNG
SORE LOSERS. iNSTEAD HOW ABOUT YOU SUPPORT A WELL PLAYED AND NOT TO MENTiON "UNDEFEATED" YEAR!
