There are many government programs for farmers. Although I realize they have bad years, they get tax breaks that other self employed people do not.

the problem is these things are part grant and part loan. loans have to be paid back, in case everyone doesn't understand that. if the grant isn't a large enought %, the project doesn't work out.

contrary to what many urban folks seem to think, farmers aren't stupid. if they were, they'd all be broke and out of business before now.

Sure would be nice if the D-NEWS would provide a link to find info about this. It's like the article is asking for farmers to use this, without telling them how to get information about it.
