Shat.....How many years does Harpring have in the league? If I recall, Harpring wasn't much of a player the first 5-6 years. Yes CJ has been in the league 4 years. How many minutes did he play during those first 3 years? Answer...Not many. Sloan never gave him minutes til now. CJ has a great jump shot too. And Ginobli is a player. Harpring was never in his league and Ginobli is not a thug. He has a great footwork. Harpring just fouls now. And if you understood basketball, you would know that CJ is playing out of position as he is a 2 not a 3. So why don't you give him some credit for being a team player and filling in where he is needed. When the Jazz trade him, he will find a home where he can play the 2. Lots of teams would like a 6'7" shooting guard. Unlike Price at 6'2". If Price is a good as you think he is, why is he not playing ahead of Knight? Your maturity shines through once again.

And no I don't watch the games. I enjoy basketball to much to watch the Jazz play.
Raja Bell | 1:07 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Trade Miles, Alomd and Fes for Raja Bell. Cj doesn't play like he likes it here and so he might approve of that trade. The Bobcats aren't going anywhere fast so they get some young talent. CJ might blossom in their system. Give it a go.

not helping your case here, not even a little bit.
STEVE-O | 2:02 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
First of all... all you folks who keep asking to trade for Raja Bell need to stop. He's old, he doesn't want to play here, and the people you are talking about trading for him is rediculous.

I was glad to see Brewer and Koofus in the game last night. Brewer struggled, but played well in the 4th quarter when we needed one more push!

Lastly... Miles you obviously don't like basketball, and you don't like the Jazz, and you don't like CJ Miles. You're a guy that's 35 years old and you like in your own appartment. You're lonely and reach out to people online to entertain yourself! Either that... or you are literally CJ Miles trying to defend crappy play! I vote for option 1.
Who is this | 2:07 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Miles? Do you lick Lolipops with CJ. Do you play Vidio games with CJ. I'll bet You guys are awesome on the play station. You problably kick Kobe's rear in the family room. However, this is the NBA. Jerry Sloan has been here about 40 years as a player and coach. You and CJ have problably been playing your Vidio Jams for about five years. Lets see where Jerry Sloan and Kosta Koofus are in 5 years. Then look and see where you and CJ are!
my thoughts | 2:13 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Miles - Really you are going to defend CJ
When CJ is sitting on the bench the Jazz have outscored their opponents by 104 points this season, and when Miles is on the floor, the Jazz have been scored by 10 points.

Lenovo +/- stats
Miles has a -10
Kirilenko has a +155
Brewer has a +20
Korver has a +46
Almond has a -31

So if you really like being outscored miles must be your guy.

Magnus as far a PER it only judges Offensive ability. As as you know Miles has a decent PER.
One on one he is the best offensive player at the 3 guard.

If you go to 82game it shows each players production rate and their opponents production rate.

Miles Production rate is 14.6 but his opponents production rate is 21.0 NET -6.4
AK's production rate is 20.8 but his opponents production rate is 10.8 NET +10.5
Brewer's Production rate is 17.2 and his opponents production rate is 13.0 NET +4.2
Korver's production rate is 12.3 and his opponents production rate is 15.4 NET -3.1

Offensivly ranking them
AK
Brewer
Miles
Korver
Defensively ranking them
AK
Brewer
Korver

If the Jazz are going to become a contender, we need to fix the minutes things

AK and Brewer are only getting about 30 minutes a games. Both really should be getting around 35 minutes a game.

Those 10 minutes need to come from CJ Miles.

It is really sad that Williams, Okur, Millsap, Brewer and Kirilenko has only played on the court 30 minutes the entire season. They should be playing around 12 minutes a game the last 6 minutes of each half. It is the Jazz's best unit.

Korver is more effective playing with Boozer, who demands more double teams. Millsap does not demand a double team quite yet. And CJ is garbage.

20 minutes, 4 pts. and 0 boards. How much longer can this go on C.J. Probably backing up to the pay window!!
What's Up? | 2:58 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Larry Miller's almost TV station has shafted everyone in the Jazz market with no games on KJZZ who have DirecTV as a satellite provider; that's me and few other dumb bells who may have switched from Dish Network. Anyway, we have the MOUNTAIN, yipee! As one of my son's observed, it looks like KJZZ is histwah, and KFAN with be the Jazz flagship station....hopefully; or fewer Jazz games to see on TV. I see New Orleans taking it to the Jazz tomorrow night. The Jazz roster has too may developmental league players, who can't man up against the legitimate contenders.....which New Orleans is. I don't worry about any of this because I know Coach Sloan is doing the best he can with the cards he has been dealt. I like a lot of the players on the roster, but most are not NBA calibre. Just because players score 15 or 20 and board 10 to 15 doesn't mean they measure up to being a title contender. One of the criteria for me is could any players on the roster displace any players on the Lakers, Spurs, New Orleans, Dallas, Rockets, Suns in the Western Conference, let alone the Eastern Conference?

Live in my own apartment? No way, I live with my Mom. All your stats and numbers on who does what, when and where really don't matter. All that matters are wins. With Miles starting and AK coming off the bench we have been successful. If Boozer were playing, you all wouldn't be whining so much about CJ. And CJ is no good at playstation. I beat him with my eyes closed. He says if all of you are so good meet him at park on 6th Street and he will hoop it up with all of you. And what makes you all think that other teams want Miles. He is so bad of a player, his trade value is ZERO. So you get him for another 3 years along with me.
Cautiously Optimistic | 3:17 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
After all the comments from miles about how good CJ is and it is everyone else's fault that CJ can't play well... I wanted to throw in a little flashback reminder. Several years ago the Jazz picked up another guy straight out of high school. He was a great talent and Jazz fans couldn't wait for him to contribute up to his potential. His problems ended up that he was a streaky shooter and a poor defender. On top of that, he ended up with a poor attitude because he felt he knew the current game better than Coach Sloan.
Eventually this player left the Jazz and has floated around the league to not a whole lot of success. His name is DeShawn Stevenson, ever heard of him?! It is starting to look like we are in round two, as Jazz fans. The funny thing is that DeShawn said last year that he wished he had appreciated what Sloan was trying to teach him, while he was still with the Jazz.
Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it.
Miles | 3:20 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Kirlenko is an All-Star. I would hope his numbers are better than CJ's. PLus he plays against the scrubs on the other team. I would hope he could outdefend and outscore them. Same as Korver. I don't see him guarding the stars on the other team. He comes in when the starters hit the bench and has more scoring opportunities. If AK and Korver started their numbers wouldn't look so good.
Henry Drummond | 3:32 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Let this CJ go! He has had plenty of chances!
Stevenson | 3:51 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
He starts for Washington, a playoff team. Not bad for floating around the league.
@ Miles | 4:26 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
All of us that think we're so good Aint gett'n paid 4 million a year to Play for the Jazz! I know guys in city league that could out defend and out rebound your big CJ.
Shat | 4:28 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Miles has stated here that he is a 17 year old. It's best to remember his age and take him with a grain of salt.

Shannon Anderson had similar comments after ending up at the Knicks.
Shat | 4:33 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
A playoff team in the East (not that good at all), he never delivered on his potential because of his attitude. Remember that was after holding out for more money (Magic) and having to except a minimum contract in order to even play in Washington. He's there until Nick Young matures.
Shat | 4:56 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
Accept, not except. My bad. Miles, you would be taken seriously if you just watched the way you present yourself.
Miles | 8:20 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
I take myself very serious. I just find it humorous that you all blame the Jazz problems on Miles. You all know that Boozer is the problem due to his injury. Also I don't see Korver, Almond or Harpring as a better option. So unless the Jazz trade for a better three, CJ is good for the Jazz. The best comment of the day is the Utah City ball has better players. Evidently you haven't paid against a pro basketball player. CJ would run circles around any player in Utah. So go back to church ball where the story grow every time you tell them about your dunk in the 1977 championship game.
Trade BOOZER... | 8:36 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
For Ronny Turiaff.
It sounds like | 10:56 p.m. Jan. 6, 2009
It sounds like Cj had a bad game or two :(

Don't worry faithful,
he'll pick it up.

He's the only jazz player with the kind of talent to guard someone like kbrat.

I agree with the folks who say his head isn't in the right spot. Giving him some time on the pine so he can watch might help him figure a thing or two out.

Siberia's freaking cold.
face it | 12:21 a.m. Jan. 7, 2009
The Jazz are a good team without Boozer, just good enough to miss the playoffs in the West. Boozer can back down defenders and draw the double team. I really like SAP but he is not Boozer.

The Jazz are also missing Harp who is just not playing well enough yet. If Harp were as good as last year he could start instead of CJ. CJ can be very good at times and not so others. He should improve over the course of the season.

K2 is improving but he is not a replacement for Boozer.

The Jazz just need to hang in there until Boozer gets back. After D league maybe Fez can help late in the season. The perimeter defense needs to improve, especially against 3s. Maybe Almond can be traded for a defender.
