How did USU creep in here. Just shows how desperate and pathetic USU fans are these days. Their so bad at everything that basketball is over emphasized. I agree with the general consensus of this board. BYU should drop the Aggies like a bad habit. The U should do the same. USU should join the likes of SUU, Dixie, UVU and Weber State where they belong and quit acting like you have a place in college athletics in this state.

I'm not sure why anybody knows why BYU always does poorly in the Tournament. I'm sure the program is working on it. Have faith. This could be the year that BYU runs the tables on the Tournament. Maybe a Tournament Quest for Perfection.

Any BYU fan brave enough to post how many Tourny Wins the Utes have had since 1991? Here is a hint: the Utes have had more Tourny wins since 1991 than BYU has had in its entire history. Can you say National Respect baby!!

The real reason that BYU hasn't won a Tournament game is because the Lord doesn't watch the NCAA Tournament. If He did, BYU would be undefeated.

I'll take your word for it, Crimson Club. Not being a fan of the Utes, I really don't remember or care how much success the Utes have had in the NCAA tournament. No one else does, either. The Utes should have won a championship game against Kentucky. Wish they had. That would have been something. Well, that run was pretty meaningful anyway, but no more than BYU title runs back when the NIT was the big tourney. Care to tell us how many banners hang in the Marriott Center for wins in the NIT when that was the big event? I didn't think so. Be brave, though. Really now, no one thinks BYU getting to the tournament and losing is ever worse than Utah's recent years of not even going.

You want to answer some questions about Utah basketball? Here you go:

When was the last time Utah had an NCAA tournament appearance? Hint: BYU has been there more recently.

You want to talk about wins? When was the last time Utah beat BYU head to head. Hint: In recent memory, BYU wins in Salt Lake or Provo.

Who was the last MWC regular conference champion? Hint: Not Utah.

It is important to schedule teams like Western Oregon to give the subs an opportunity to play. The Aggies in Logan could fill this role except they save up all their energy every year to play BYU. It's the next best thing to playing in the NCAA tourney.

I'm sorry that Aggie teams are so bad that Aggie fans have nothing better to do than sit around in some comment forum and whine about how teams like BYU don't give them the time of day.

Hey Aggie fans--why don't you call up one of the local high school basketball teams to come play up at the Spectrum? Did it occur to you that every high school team's biggest game of the season would be to play someone like you?

This is my last year as a Cougar Fan. I will give BYU one more chance to win a Tournament game. If they can't pull it off this year, I'm through.

The last time BYU won a Tournament Game I was a newly wed. In eight months, I will be a grandfather. I feel that I will be dead before BYU can win another Tournament Game.

BYU claims to have a hard time scheduling home-home games to increase their SOS.
USU is one of the better teams BYU plays year in-year out.
BYU "CHOOSES" to play this ridiculous "neutral" court game series with USU in order to avoid having to play a home-home series with USU.
BYU appears to have difficulty with the truth.
In fact, BYU has dragged down USU's SOS more often than it has helped in the past 10 years.
For all those wanting to use the "little brother" smack, recall what that former Aggies, E.T. Benson, had to say about pride (and arrogance). Nuff said.

No Tournament wins equals no National Respect for your school. It has been a long, long, drought for BYU. Let's hope they can make a little rain at the NCAA Tournament this year.

Bragging about a 1 and whatever team is pathetic. USU has never had a 1 and whatever team. Sounds like that one game was BYU's season that year, so who got up for the game and who didn't care?
If BYU doesn't care about USU, there sure were a lot of Cougar fans in the ESA who spoke otherwise.
Reality is BYU and USU are in the SAME boat, both lack respect and both schedule soft.
Fortunately, the WAC has the ESPN contract and the MWC will fade away into obscurity. You saw it with the Sugar Bowl. ESPN didn't show any of Utah's post game interviews. Local athletes will take notice and opt for the Aggies over the other two. Time will tell.

that scheduliing good teams for BYU is as dificult as this article states. Stop making excuses for losses and weak schedules. Looks like the football team is improving in this area (scheduling, that is).

Did you not hear what Wake Forest's coach said. "There ain't gonna be no rematch. Why would I want to play in the Marriott Center again?" And you think BYU is making this stuff up?

First, the reason Aggie fans are commenting on this article is that THEY WERE MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE. Second, Aggie fans give the same arguments over and over again because BYU fans do the same thing. Third, it's always funny to hear BYU and Utah fans say that Utah State doesn't belong in the same class as them in basketball and should join the likes of UVU, SUU, etc. when one considers the last time either team won in Logan (Utah in 1996, and BYU 1999: pretty pathetic when the game is in Logan every other year) and when one considers the records in the last decade: Utah State is 5-5, with one win in Provo, against BYU since 1999 and 6-4 against Utah since 1999, with a 71-45 blowout win against a team that went to the Sweet 16 that year. Face it: Utah State can compete with you in basketball.

Will everybody stop saying winning tourney games is the only way to get national respect? Because clearly it's NOT. I'm pretty sure beating big name teams like Louisville, and hanging tough with other big name teams:North Carolina, Wake Forest, Arizona State, etc. gets you national respect. You might want to talk to Wake's coach if you think otherwise.Oh and will BYU fans stop bashing ISU? lol. Better than their record. You Utah fans can stop talking up your team till we play.
