Utah Utes football: Win is 'big dream' come true
11 comments | Read story
You will be building yourself, not just wins.
You will have the opportunity to change peoples lives by the firesides you do before each game.
You will learn to live your life right "on and off the field".
You will be a part of a National Championship Program, a Heisman winning program.
You will be a part of a National reputation with a National following. A team that sells out their 60,000 seat stadium for EVERY game.
You will be a part of a team that has it's real priorities straight. (a GAME isn't the most importanat)
You will be a part of a divine institution, the Lords University.
You will be a winner
Your comments sound a little "itish" (and there were no "ites" among them).
I thought the Lord was no respector of men.
To read your comments, one would think that agency plays no part in the direction of our lives, only the place that we attend college.
I live in the "field" comments like this raise more questions, (the wrong kind), then give answers.
Please keep this kind of Cougar "Pride" to yourself.
Cougar stadium is a great place to watch a game; however, I'm afraid that most of the Cougar T-shirts in the stadium at any given time are "stuffed".
I think Notre Dame would have something to say about that. I don't think the Lord U comment will cause many boys to sign a letter of commitment with the Y.
What about Oral Roberts U, Bob Jones U (what a name for a school), Liberty and all the others across this country who think they have divine intervention going on at their campus?
You know the old joke they tell in Heaven -who is that standing over there in the corner? That is the Mormons and they think they are the only ones here.
One should also include Utah State University, a fine institution and perhaps they will get a winning football team in a few years. Good luck Ags.
"If you go to BYU..." you clearly won't learn anything about either spelling or grammar. Ever heard of an apostrophe? How about a hyphen?
If BYU's players had their priorities as straight as some people seem to think, Max Hall might not have come home early from his mission. Just a thought.
Stop living in the past. Your program has not done anything since 1984. Check the dates on your so called national championship and Heisman trophies. Coach Edwards does not work in Provo anymore. Meanwhile the Utes... well scoreboard says it all!
Utah is the dominant program in the state and will be for years to come. I know it is hard to watch all of BYU's dreams pack their bags and move north. I love that you must watch as the Utes achieve greatness and grow in strength. BCS envy X 2 looks great on you! Hey there is always next year!
I have been taught in my ward that the world is the Lords university, and that it was our agency and choices that make us great people, not an institution. BYU is a great school with many great programs, but it is the goodness of the people that make this world great.
Utes don't hate BYU, we hate the type of arrogance that comes out of her fans in posts like yours.
There is always next year, scoreboard baby!!!
Go Utes

You can go to either school and have a good shot at winning most of your games and going to a bowl game each year.
If you choose Utah - you will most likely win those bowl games.
If you choose BYU - Hmmmmm - nice season, but what is that empty feeling in your bowl?
