If the Nevada State Engineer authorizes pumping? The State of Nevada is ran by Las Vegas politics, harry reid the Senate Majority Leader is from the Las Vegas area. He will do everything and anything he can to see that this comes to pass. reid is payed for and elected by Clark County (Las Vegas), and he don't care about anyone except himself and how much he can profit from anything he does. No one in northeast Nevada can stop the destruction of their area, so we are totally dependent on you folks in Utah. Hopefully you can stop it before it is to late.

Glad that all concerned want to "divy up shared resources".

Too bad/sad that Nevada and the region have been offered a truly new non-tributary fresh water Source that would double Nevada's water resources and eliminate the need to risk mining the desert aquifers of the little water they might yield, but Nevada, the Bureau of Reclamation, BLM and the Southern Nevada Water Authority have chosen to ignore the opportunity to investiage the possiblities.

Development of the million acre feet ( 325,560,000,000 gallons) per year for the region has been guaranteed not to damage the environment or the water rights of anyone, anywhere.

Even the storage of the water in the hot air space of Lake Mead for the continued generation of 1800 megawatts of renewable energy is not worth an honorable mention.

And we wonder why America is in trouble...
