Way to go Utah. I'm a BYU fan who cheered like crazy for Utah tonight. Kind
of fun!! Way to go Utah and way to represent Utah, the MWC, and everyone who
thinks the BCS is a joke!!! Yeaaa!!!!!

As a Cougar fan I usually find it difficult to pull for the Utes (having Kyle as
the coach makes it a bit easier) but, I really enjoyed watching them hand it to
'Bama. Utes proved it. They are the best. I'll even say they
deserve a national championship - this was at least as impressive as the BYU
1984 championship.
The Utes are on top! I'll have to hear it until BYU can beat them. I won't go back into history to try and prove BYU is better like many Cougar fans. I give the Utes the respect they deserve - the best team in the nation in my book.

To my brother Mark, my nephew Jakson and all the other UTE die-hards: Your team
played out of their minds tonight and deserve every ounce of credit that they
will receive. Great job! Any team in the country would have been mowed down by
that defense and they would have been backpedaling against the offense as well.

Utah beat Oregon State who beat USC.
Utah beat 6 bowl teams including Alabama.
They beat Alabama more handily than Florida did.
They are the only undefeated team.
They deserve strong consideration as #1 in the country but won't get it. The BCS is a stupid system. All arguments in its favor are bogus.

All you people on here talking trash. Utah owned the game. Alabamas offense
engineered 3 points. The fumble (led to short field) and the punt return. Utah

After watching that game, I'd dare say that Utah played three other teams
this year that were better than Alabama (TCU, Oregon State, BYU.) The Ute
defense was AMAZING. I hope that the Utes can keep Kyle. This shouldn't
be a "stepping stone" job any longer. The MWC will be a highly
respected conference if it can keep Patterson, Whittingham, and Mendenhall as
coaches.

WIN WITH PRIDE.....As a Cougar fan, Im proud of what you've
accomplished....but stop already with the remarks about quest for perfection and
all that none sense....SERIOUSLY, every school including Utah had a goal and
even had quotes or things that the team went by all year. What? Did you want
BYU to say something like WE are going to lose this year? Heck, may as well not
play the game. Everyone plays to win...so don't be such idiots. Again, Im
proud of Utah, your fans, your school but especially your team and the way they
put themselves and the whole MWC on the map. And as for 1984....WELL, it DOES
NOT compare to what Utah did today....not even close...way to go Utah

I am a huge Trojan fan, however I would like to see the Utes as the NC. The
Utes did everything they were suppose to do without one loss. My beloved
Trojans did lose to Oregon St., so they have no leg to stand on as far as the
NC goes. Florida lost to a sub-par Ole Miss team and they get to play for the
NC. It is not right. The AP voters should set this right and vote Utah as
co-national champs with the winner of the Oklahoma-Florida game...case closed.

is that most BYU fans on here are exhibiting SUPER sportsmanship in
congratulating Utah on a great win tonight and an outstanding season this year
(the rest of you should be ashamed!) That is the way it SHOULD be---Utahns
supporting Utahns---however, somehow I can't help thinking that if it was
BYU that accomplished this same feat, Utah fans wouldn't be so supporting.

The Utes are a de facto BCS team. And its time the powers that be in the
'ess ayy sayy' tip their hat and admit that the Utah Utes more than
belong. Utes destroyed 'Bama and made Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson eat
crow with their cute little Southern accents. Utes beat the big boys with speed
and power - not trickery. Toe to Toe with anyone, anywhere are the Utah Utes!

They played a poorly prepared Alabama team. Utah did nothing great; Alabama did
everything wrong! BYU would have handled this team in much worse fashion tonight
(60-17). Yewts were decent but is about it. Wait 'till next year, we have a
mature class and will battle for no. 1 in the BCS. Enjoy your little consolation
price but please remember what a national championship is all about-- just a
'little' bit better then a sugar bowl win! Put it in perspective and
I'll put my trophy against yours any day.

tickets?

I couldn't believe my own ears heard my own voice yell, "Go,
Utes!" after the interception return for a TD for a 14-zip lead. Still a
diehard Cougar fan, this was a sweet victory and vindication that the BCS system

Once again, I really can't take away the effort Utah gave the entire game.

It was a strange feeling cheering for Utah the way I did tonight but they were
very impressive. Very well done Utah. I'm anxious to see if you can take
this win in a mature fashion or if you'll channel this win to dig on BYU,
which would be unfortunate when my guess is 99% of BYU fans cheered for Utah
tonight.

I'm not a huge Utah fan, and I'm not a Utah hater either, but this is
something that deserves serious recognition. This is something that nobody has
ever been able to do before, and you are just showing the nation. I have to
thank you on behalf of every single non-BCS school for sticking it to the man
and showing the entire country that BCS means NOTHING! This is a phenomenal day
for the University of Utah and for the entire state of Utah, so thank you Utes.
You represent us well.
