Did she offer to share the meth? That would have gone a long way with a lot of neighbors to forget the indecent exposure and disorderly conduct and wanton destruction of private property. Glad that the investigating officers put the child and the bird under protective custody.

I feel..... | 10:26 a.m. Jan. 2, 2009
sad for the poor little boy witnessing the whole thing and even worse, being exposed to such an environment. I hope he has sober aunts and uncles nearby who can get custody of him and keep him away from his drug addict mom....

INDECENT EXPOSURE! | 11:38 a.m. Jan. 2, 2009
If this was a man, he'd have the indecent exposure charge too. Why wasn't she charged with it??? The doubt standard in society is sickening.

Where did you learn to write?

The Headline is gramatically problematic: "Police arrest woman after nude rampage" suggests that the POLICE were engaging a nude rampage and then they arrested a woman when they were done.

LOL!

Tasers work great on out of control drug users and keep those nearby, including officers and the suspect from getting injured.

If the department hasn't issued or considered issuing tasers, this may be a great New Year's resolution. Good luck guys!

The Headline to me is completely understandable to me, I guess it's all just a matter of how it reads in your head. But I can imagine that must have sparked your interest reading that headline under that impression!

The headline is EXACTLY why I read the article! Maybe they should change it to "Nude rampage leads to bird custody" or "Defenseless bird forced to observe nude rampage." Those would also attract my attention...

I love how the cops found the bird and turned it over to animal control before they turned the kid over to child protective services. Nice

I was recently skiing in Utah and was amazed at the number of large billboards on the freeways indicating the amount of meth use by women in Utah. Is this the "in" thing to do if you live in Utah? It sounds like everyone is doing this. Must be a fun place where all the women run around naked.

Sara, I remember you in my English class at BYU. Fun to see your name here now and then. I wonder where you hear about these stories.

God help that poor, traumatized child... I shudder to think of what that 6 year old must have seen.

of the bird first, although it probably took less time to do than to arrange foster care for a real live child.
However they did it, this points out to me the fallacy of the idea of legalizing drugs. Drugs change behavior--and not usually for the better.

Regarding meth use in Utah. for some reason, ultra conservative areas of the country have huge problems with meth.

You can draw a map over the "red" states, or heavily conservative regions, and they completely parallel the regions with the highest per capita use of meth.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
