Alumni | 7:28 a.m. Dec. 29, 2008
It's great to see the alumni playing such a big role in the program. Everyone wants to be associated with a winner. I'll bet this helps with recruiting. Hopefully someone is filming the experience.

Go Utes!

Interesting! | 8:55 a.m. Dec. 29, 2008
I had no idea so many former Utes were still contributing in the NFL, and these are just a few examples. Any of these names make sense for offensive coordinator at the U? Mike Mccoy? This truly is the "most wonderful time of the year" for Ute fans, players and Alum!!! GO UTES!

Great pics DN...thanks!

I've been wondering what Mike McCoy is doing these days. Now we all know. He was an extremely smart QB in the pocket...would make a great coach.

Go UTES!!!

Re: McCoy | 9:39 a.m. Dec. 29, 2008
That'd be awesome, but he's been in the NFL for quite a few years, so I wonder if he would the gig at the U a step up or a step down?

What other names are floating around out there?

At least this time Brian Johnson and Joe Dale were able to have NCAA approved prime seating.

Great Pictures! | 11:32 a.m. Dec. 29, 2008
Awesome Pictures! The Panthers were generous to gift the intercepted footballs to the Utes. Very Cool! GO UTES AND COUGARS!

You are wrong, Mr. 11:54 a.m. post! Just because YOU can't be a fan of both schools (or even conceive the possibility of anyone being a fan of both schools), doesn't mean that others are incapable of the task. And guess what--I'm also a fan of TCU, which I believe was really the best team in the Mountain West Conference this season.

Great to know the Alumni are doing well. Here's a thought...why did so many of you chastise BYU for their Friday night firesides but no one is mentioning the Utes attending a professional sports event on Sunday? I realize not everyone is LDS but the coach is. It's clear that BYU shows their priorities (and may have a less impressive record) but so did the Utes.

Utah Mormons...one week you are talking about Institute classes that so many of your players attend... now a Sunday Football game....I guess it is okay since so many Mormons (Utah and BYU) were playing in the games.

Fireside compared to NFL Footbal | 7:52 p.m. Dec. 29, 2008
Is this person crazy. The attendance at the NFL game is focussed on teamwork, bonding, motivation for the future. What does this have to do with and LDS fireside ? This is why so many comments are made towards Mormons. They generally have no clue what they are talking about.

LUCKY | 11:08 p.m. Dec. 29, 2008
I am sooooo jealous of the Ute football players. It is my top dream to even attend an Carolina Panthers football game, but to be able to get field seats to a game which they won by a field goal to clinch the division AND meet the players afterward is absolutely insane. Anyways, good luck at the Sugar Bowl Utah.
