Sad ute fan would rather play Va Tech or Cincny in the Sour (I mean Orange) Bowl? I think we'll put up a good showing. We can't lose any worse than Oklahoma lost to USC in the 2004 BCS championship game (played in early 05). OU surely did not belong there; our Utes or Auburn should have been there.

It's such a long time between games. Why doesn't the MWC end a few weeks later like everyone else? It's like a whole new season.

Man, guys, it's college football and ANYTHING can and will happen. The Utes are undefeated. Take that attitude to New Orleans and do your magic. Tim Tebow beat us with his attitude. Utah is a great team. Us Alabama fans (the real Alabama fans) are excited and a little scared about playing a team that should be in the title game. It'll be like playing Flordia again, only you guys are UNDEFEATED!!! Good luck, keep your chins up, and remember that only two big time college programs went unbeaten this year. Go Utes!

BYU/Boise State fan, you did a pathetic job in calling yourself a "Ute fan." It wasn't even a good effort.

If you're a BYU fan, we have scoreboard on you, 48-24. Also 53-33 (total overall record). If you're a Boise State fan (most likely, because they can't leave Utah and BYU alone), your "great" season has come at the hands of the 12 worst teams in college football. TCU will put you in your place.

Utah has had a tremendous season. They have defeated three top 20 teams, and have shown an incredible ability to rise to the occasion. Brian Johnson has a Joe Montana-like ability to pull out tough games in the end.

My prediction: Utah 21 Alabama 10

bylosers reynolds? Who is that? Did he play in the game. Good one... Kruger didn't sniff hall. Yeah I am sure there was no pressure from the defense on hall...only one fumble recovery by Kruger, one interception with return and how many other interceptions? ... I forget. Yeah no pressure from Kruger for hall...so amazing the fantasy world of lies you coug fans live in. By the way it is a team effort and the Ute team annihilated the cougar team..especuilly the defense...oh wait we doubled your score and scored 48 pts on a "ranked" team...I guess the offense ruled you too...You guys are lame.

Utah couldn't stop Unga...how are they going to stop 'Bama's running game. When Alabama watches film on Utah they are goin to see that Utah can't stop the run....so they'll smash the Utes in the mouth all game and then throw over the top when they need to.
As far as Johnson goes...he sucked against anybody that had a decent defense. Queen Louie is the only reason you beat teams this year...oh and by the way even if 'Bama misses 2-3 field goals like TCU did, it won't matter cuz utah won't be hanging around for a last minute prayer drive.

Let's see here. The Yner fans of the 3rd place team from the MWC, the one that is headed to Las Vegas to play the 5th place team from the PAC-10, are stil talking and talking and talking. Do these numbers mean anything to you Yners 80-31. . . that's the combined score of BYU vs. Utah and TCU.

I am a huge BYU fan and I'll admit that upfront. But the team that really deserves to be playing Alabama in the Sugar Bowl is TCU.(I would be saying this too if BYU was playing instead of Utah, unless BYU smashed TCU, which they didnt) TCU was easily better than both BYU and Utah this year. Their only real loss came to the hands of OU, and there isn't anyone in this country that is willing to argue that Utah or BYU is better than OU. Just admit you guys lucked out against TCU and don't embarrass the MWC too much.

Play against a 5th ranked Arizona team in the uh hem, las vegas bowl?

The only thing keeping cougar fans sane is saying, "Oh utes are going to get hammered by bama..."

uh huh, and what happens if utah beats alabama? What will the excuses be then?

Like I said I would rather play alabama in the sugar bowl, than the before christmas terrible pac 10 team against byu.

tdS fans will go on and on about how we have no chance against Alabama; they are too big; too fast; too strong; too well coached....

But, since you asked...

If we DO beat Alabama, tdS fans will change their tunes to "Alabama was the WORST BCS bowl team this year. Even [input Orange Bowl loser team here] would have beat the Tide, only they would have scored more points while allowing fewer". Let's not also forget that our win would have been considered "lucky" or due to some "bad call" by the refs.

You and I both will know they don't really think that, but they have shown themselves as incapable of being honest with their fellow man (see Sad ute fan | 1:47 a.m. Dec. 13, 2008).

are the least sports educated fans and the worst sports fans in the country. Utah was 4th in computer rankings and made it to the dance. BYU didn't. TCU deserved to go more than Utah...then why aren't they......oh Yeah I remember...THEY LOST TO UTAH!!!
Funny Utah got lucky in that game but BYU didn't at Wahington ....you guys are the worst...get a clue

Fetch, I wish our team was half as good as Utah. I now realize that the glory days are over in Provo. I'm gonna enjoy the heck out of the Vegas Bowl, since it will probably be our last bowl game in a long time.

The utes are the most overrated team in college football. They will embarrass the Mid Majors when the Tide rolls over them over! Too bad Boise State isn't playing in this bowl game. At least they would be respectable. Go Broncos!

Hey, BYU fans, points on offense or defense or special teams are all worth the same!!! It reminds me of what Ben Hogan said when was struggling with his putting stroke and wished that putts would count as only half a shot. Too bad. Until the rules change you need to go with it. If TCU can't make field goals you can't expect them to win every game. If bad kicking hurt them against Utah it would have been the same case against Alabama. There are no bonus points for most offensive yards in a game. The rules are how they are. If we recruit an amazing kicker what does that say about our program and coaches?

P.S. Queen Louie, who are you rooting for?

No not really, the fact that we are paired with #4 Bama. It would have been a big dissapointment to play anohter Pitt.

No they don't: 13-10. Now if they had stopped BJ on the last drive then yes but they did not so no.

I will give you TCU is the most talented team in MWC but so were the 2007-Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I just want to say how great it was to have three very strong teams in the conference this year. GO UTES!!! GO TCU!!! GO Cougs! Seriously, I wish that every year the conference could have three teams of such strength. And Yes, I think that TCU and Utah are about even. I owe TCU a huge thanks though, before the end of that Ute/TCU game they were the better team. Then they missed a couple of field goals making up for the field goals that Whittingham should have kicked with Sakoda but chose to punt. Without those missed field goals Brian Johnson wouldn't have had the opportunity to lead his team to glory and get the confidence that we had been waiting for him to get. Since the last two minutes of that game Johnsen has been the quarterback that the Utes need for the Alabama game.

BYU did that when they beat a WINLESS Washington by one point!
Utah can't loose, they loose and they should #6 team up against a "stronger" #4 SEC team at home), WIN and it will be the biggest game of the BCS!
Not to mention the 4.5 million that will be bringing in more of the talent that beat EVERYONE we played this year!!
