17 nominations for 'Kung Fu Panda' seem excessive

Wall-E better than Kung Fu Panda? That's bologna! Kung Fu Panda would just put Wall-E in the mooshi finger hold and SKADOOSH! The only hard part would be cleaning up an obliterated trash compactor!

"Wall-E" is in fact significantly better than "Kung Fu Panda", but I don't really have a problem with the latter getting so many nominations. They're both excellent films, and "Wall-E" is getting plenty of attention from other critics and awards groups.

Sorry Jeff, Wal-E was a critic friendly movie, but as far as animated family fare, it was a snore. I was the only person in my family who liked it. My wife and kids all were disappointed by it. Too slow, too stuck on high concept sci-fi.

Kung Fu Panda was a lot more fun. It had much more energy and humor and entertainment value. My kids have watched it several times, while they haven't ever even asked to rent Wall-E after seeing it in theaters.

I thought you might want to address the fact that the Golden Globes has absolutely no credibility left after completely snubbing Dark Knight.

Wall*E took heretofore unparalleled skill to make happen. I felt more emotionally attached to Wall*E then to most any other cinematic character I've encountered. They've created one of the most sympathetic and well-rounded characters of our time and they did it without a single line of dialogue. Kung Fu Panda was hilarious. But if I had to say which movie had a greater impact, then it was Wall*E

While I enjoyed watching Wall-E, I think in terms of sheer energy and eye-popping brilliance, Kung Fu Panda definitely took the cake. The fight scenes were excellently choreographed, and upon delving a little deeper, there is a much more profound story that KFP tells. The characters were wonderfully integrated into the film, and their personalities (I especially see this in Jack Black's character) really fits together seamlessly for an overall wonderful cinematic experience. In my honest opinion, 17 nominations is an under sight.
