Duh, get a license - and some training how to handle a firearm.
He's lucky he didn't kill the poor guy in the next booth instead of just ending his own football career.
Better this than dog fighting, I guess.
But, this really is a new one. Instead of the old adage, "He shot himself in the foot," it is "Don't shoot yourself in the leg."
Maybe Plaxico has an excuse. Perhaps he believed his own press releases that he was faster than a speeding bullet.
Plaxico, besides the honor of getting handcuffed, a mug shot is always a flattering photo, at least it shows how tall you are, being escorted by detectives, and being put in a nice place like a New York City precinct jail with nice folks, having to post bond, being out of work, it put a nasty hole in your purple $4,000 cashmere trousers.
Oh well, such is the life of the modern day egocentric NFL receiver. I wonder what Ocho Cinco, Terrell Owens and other NFL receivers will do next.
Like the little boy said to Shoeless Joe Jackson in the baseball scandal, "Say it ain't so, Joe."
