Utah Bow Hunter | 1:04 p.m. Dec. 4, 2008
It is a weapon of choice for many utah hunters because is is the only way that
you can hunt some areas without waiting for an insane number of years. I love
to hunt with a bow, but Utah has been using it as a scape-goat for it's
poor management for years now. They think if they make it open to bow hunters
that they are doing us all a favor. No, if you want to do Utah wildlife a
favor, start managing it like the precious resource that it is! In short, one
of the main contributing factors in the increase is that it is the only way many
of us get to hunt at all.

real bow hunting | 3:27 p.m. Dec. 4, 2008
I don't know why bow hunting in Utah is treated like a mangy mutt by the
DWR. I can't figure out why they don't have the archery elk season
during the prime of the rut! It's ridiculous to think that you are really
doing a good job of management by sending rifle hunters out for elk during the
peak of the rut while bow hunters waste time during the pre-rut. That's
stupid. I can think of some reasons why they do that but I don't pretend to
comprehend the "minds immeasurably superior to mine" who make these
ridiculous decisions.
