I know that BYU thinks they are the backbone of the MWC, but times have changed, this is not the WAC, and the Utes continue to set the bar for the MWC, and the rest of the Non-BCS.
I'd like to support B. Johnson, but I'm not sure if he is even Utah Offensive POY when compared to King Louie's kicking. The debate is whether Johnson statistics were held back by Ludwigs offensive scheme and play calling or Johnsons own talent, QB sense and confidence.
I side with Johnson, and believe his numbers were negatively affected by Ludwigs timid offensive scheme, that up until BYU seem to rely too much on Sakodas kicking and Utahs defense for field position and momentum.
I know their are those who believe Ludwig like the other Ute coaches should receive their props for Utahs 12-0 regular season. But I contend Utahs 12-0 record was in spite of Ludwigs offensive schemes not because of it. Coach Andersons defense coaching won most of the games for Utah this year. Too bad for Johnson though, he will not be highly regarded by the NFL either, thanks to Ludwig.
Some may accuse me of being a Ute troll, but I'm really just trying to be honest with my fellow man.
