"Evil empires"? Oh, please. This story wasn't about the Third
Reich, it was about a legitimate business which no one is forced to enter
against their will.

There is nothing wrong with casino gambling, there is something wrong with the
way Randy Black has ruined this business since he bought it from the Redd
Family, I am sure that Si Redd is rolling in his grave to see what he built up
to a great resort now closing most of its operations. and As a former Oasis
employee I did notice that most of the cars in the parking lot had Utah plates.

what will 500 unemployed people do to find work in Mesquite? That's what
we should worry about instead of pretending to be so holy and righteous. JimBob
just because Maverick hasn't cut back doesn't mean they still
can't fire you for being an idiot, better save your silver pieces.

Check this out...what about the long-time Grand Destination timeshare owners who
invested thousands of dollars and now are being told they can stay in a
"Ghost town" resort and use the "amentity" of one swimming
pool. Nice of ya, Mr. Black. I'm sure timeshare owners will love that
one...you won't have to worry about hiring a $7.00/hr lifeguard anymore
that will dig into your advertising yourself (woops-I mean your casinos) in
Mesquite. And I agree with Steve. Si Redd had a dream and both Nevadeans and
Utaheans have had many great outings at this great resort. Everytime we have
went there since the Black family bought it, every employee has complained about
lack of help, no improvements at resort, cutbacks, etc. I have no sympathy for
the Black family, only for the thousands of visitors and for timeshare owners
who will certainly be monitoring what happens next and pulling out their deeds
to review it closely.
