CPSLO was probably the toughest team in the FCS going into the playoffs. Nobody wanted to play them and they should have beat Wisconsin last week on the road. Weber had a very solid win on the road. Weber can and should beat MT this week. Who knows what will happen after that, but Weber can very likely be in the final 4 (assuming they show up and play to their potential on Saturday).
Playoffs are so much better than the stupid bowl system. Go Weber!

YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!!!

CONGRATS to one of the scrappiest 'bad news bears' this town has ever seen. Gotta love these guys, they keep taking a beating and come back for more.

Coach Ronnie Mac and staff have done an AWESOME job with this team. Cal Poly was so arrogant, they were selling tickets to the Montana game on their website earlier this week.

DEFENSE wins games.....DEFENSE wins games....DEFENSE wins games...but it is great when the offense comes to play also.....

Team win, great team win to go into the lions den and come out victorious!!!

WEBER STATE WEBER STATE
GREAT GREAT GREAT

Did I really read... | 9:42 a.m. Nov. 30, 2008
that WSU has to play Montana on the road next week in the playoffs? Didn't they already kick Montana's butt earlier in the year and win the conference championship via that win?

At least D1-AA does it right and has a playoff but Montana getting to host that game is ridiculous given the fact outside of Weber's one confrence loss their only losses were to Utah & Hawaii. Did Montana even bother to play a D1 opponent?

Way to go coach, looks like the MAFU is working again. Show the nation why upper division football should have a playoff.

Enjoy the win today and get ready for the Grizz. They will be ready and we are at their house which is a totally different atmosphere than any other place. Great job Defense and coaches, prepareing for an option team in short notice that scores a nation high 45 points per game. BELIEVE

The fact is that Weber State and Montana were co-champions of the Big Sky. Most would look to Weber State's win over Montana as the tie breaker. But, the tournament selection committee looked to the 25,000 fans in Grizzly Stadium, vs. 8000 in Ogden and the corresponding increase in revenues, to determine which of the co-champions got the home field advantage. If Weber State had beaten Eastern Washington last week, they would have been home and probably hosting Texas State. And Montana or Cal Poly would be coming to Ogden next week.

Of course, I would rather have the win in the playoffs than in the regular season.

Montana will be tough because they remember that loss. But, if Weber State plays well and sticks to their game plan, they have a good chance of winning, even in front of 25,000 fans.

FCS teams are good | 10:49 a.m. Nov. 30, 2008
Looking over the teams that are in the FCS championship, the names become familiar.

James Madison (beat App. State)
Applachian State (beat Michigan last year)
Northern Iowa (BYU played them)
Montana (regional power)
Cal Poly (beat SDSU and took Wisconsin to OT)
New Hampshire (beat Army)

Wow. Not sure if you know what you are talking about. This is not a scrapy team. They are conditioned and coached very well and when they are playing on all cylinders, like against Cal Poly, they are a well oiled machine....the oposite of scrapy.
