Utah Jazz hammered at home by Nets

Ever wonder a better name for the Jazz? INCONSISTENCY is their nickname. A
stellar game one day, to make fans believe the team has finally arrived (such as
games versus Memphis and Sacramento), then suddenly a surprising loss; all in
one sentence. You never know what to expect from any past or present Jazz team.
They can do anything, except "doing" it Consistently. This has gotten
to be the most frustrating team in pro-basketball.
OK, role players soundly beat Memphis, Sac'to and suddenly get crushed by the lowly Nets? What gives ?
Defense? who else, beside Kirilenko and Millsap (Both of whom try , but still not very effective) has ever heard of that word?

No AK no light for Jazz. Man how dysfunctional was Jazz. Nets guards poured
points. Any way nets was better team.

We got beat last night. They outplayed us, plain and simple. They played
excellent defense on the interior against us. I wonder why other teams
don't do the same. The Jazz are not known for their perimeter shooting. The
effort was there, all night long by the Jazz, but did you notice all the almost
went in layups by the Jazz. Their bigs made it tough in there.
I was disappointed by the defense on Del Harris. He looked like the all star last night, against a still not 100% Deron Williams. (who I love - dont' get me wrong). But any church ball player knows to back off and give up the jump shot to stop the drive.
The Jazz will be back from their nicks and dings. It's not how you start, but how you finish the season. We should be well aware of that from prior years.

Call me when the Jazz get a Center. Memo is a small Fwd. Collins is riding in
a golf cart when he is not rollerskating. AK is a wimp! Milsap is about
6'6". Who in the world would not put in Koofus or Fess to Plug the
lane when that is what is obviously beating you. If Sloan and O'donnel
don't want to play the 7 Footers we have, then by heck get some that you
will play. This organization is becoming a JOKE!

...have responded to the game situation last night by putting in The Whopper
(Billy Paultz) or Rich Kelley or somebody. Jerry looks at his watch and when it
says its time he does the exact same substiutions. No matter if you are up by
20 or down by 20, wether a man is in the ZONE or cannot hit his old lady's
house. Some people think Larry Miller is admirable for not interfering. Would
somebody please take Jerry's Temperature. Where is FRANK LAYDEN.

I hardly think so buddy. The Wolves beat the Pstons by 25 at Detroit last week.
Garbage happens sometimes. I will say I am very disappointed in the Jazz all
year at the defensive end. Until they play defense a championship is not in the
picture. I love my beloved Jazz, they are one of the top 5 teams in this
league, but the gap from 5 to 1 is huge because of defense. The Nets a better
team? Right! You know your basketball.

Another guard having big game against the jazz?
Add tanother player to the long long list players having big game against the jazz.
Boy that sloan system sure is working magic.
And people think, like sloan, that high scoring power forwards is the answer.
A system where guards and small forwards can shoot and score, and play with out fear, seems much more preferrable.
Use the right system, get the right players, and you can win a championship.
New Jesey seems to be doing things right recently, building their team right.
While the jazz slog on, doing the same ol same old, and never winning a championship.
Maybe it's time for a change.

AKA Jazz Fan (The Original)
I keep telling you diehards the Jazz are finished. Every year something happens, and they lose games they should win (if they are legitimate, which they are not). The Nets exposed a gimpy legged 'D Will and the ineptness of a lackadazical effort by a really tentative inferior team. Too much turkey? They were turkeys. This roster is crazy; a bunch of nice guys....most of which do not deserve to wear an NBA uniform....seriously. I see no light at the end of the tunnel for this franchise. The light is going out....the party is over...as Dandy Don used to say on MNF. The homecourt mastery of this club is over. Clearly, Denver will win this the most terrible division in the league.
Give me those 6 tickets with 6 hot dogs for a paltry $90! Wowee, what a deal that was.
It's a good thing Larry is unable to attend games regularly these days. He must have thrown up after that performance....if he viewed it.
Next stop....Seattle for this bunch of wannabees. The fans are supposed to be excited about this supposed team?

Your right their defense isn't amazing. But it honestly isn't
terrible.. They have been allowing 95 points a game. Much better then their
defense last year. Its their offense that is up and down. They are scoring
nearly ten points less a game...

HArris tore up the Suns tonight too. I'm sure that he is just on an
unstoppable streak right now. Whoever said put in the seven footers, you think
that they would do a better job shutting down harris than amare? No way
Jose.
Jazz did not stop the drive and I didn't like the zone D the jazz were playing. To many seams for a guard like Harris, (who really should have no business driving on a zone if the JAzz knew what they were doing in zone).
Gotta give it to the NEts, they tore that game up. They were efficient, they were the tougher team, they were relentless on the offensive glass, and their interior defense was superior. Boozer may have made a small dent in the loss, but it still would have been a loss.

Boozer would have been nice to have in that one, even nicer would have been to
have AK in the second half, without him the Jazz help D really suffers.
The injuries this year are just skewing everything. It's getting a little ridiculous and the way things are going I'm betting if we ever get to see a full strength Jazz team this year it won't be until after the all star break.
The thing that I find most disturbing is the number of little nagging injuries the players have. Williams ankle, Korvers wrist, Memos back, AK's... AK, all of them are playable and none of them are 100%. I suppose all teams have that kind of stuff though, just have to man up and get it done.
I'm just hoping they can get 20 wins before January.

I was really surprized by the outcome of the Nets game. The Nets also played
the Lakers really well in the first half a few days before they played the Jazz;
but in the second half the Lakers took a two point game and blew the Nets out.
My concern for the Jazz now is the inconsistency that also plagues teams just
like the Nets. The Nets are a game or two over five-hundred. How do you
explain their wins in Utah and Phoenix when they've lost twice to the lowly
Indiana Pacers, and at home to Golden State? No dude; the better team
didn't win. The Nets played better than the Jazz; that's all.
The point is at this time the Jazz are not one of the elite teams. I think based on what I've seen the Lakers, Celtics, and Cavs are there. Everyone else is striving to be that good. I do hope the Jazz get there. I still believe they can; here is a wish for a speedy recovery to all the injured Jazz players. Go Jazz!!!

I knew it, Williams will be liability there on the court against point guards
like Devin Harris, 30 minutes of playing time for D-Will whose leg was not 100%
playing against D. Harris? common give me a break... I can't believe Sloan
allow him to play a lot of minutes, D. Harris just beat the whole Jazz team
including coach Sloan,..the loss was so frustrating..if only D-Will decided not
to play and compete with Harris with his condition, it would have been a
different result, they maybe beaten but not a blowout

Williams played 30 minutes,that's a lot! Williams ankle is not 100%, play
him against D.HArris, what's the result? blowout and a big game for D.
Harris, why? bcoz Williams can't guard him with his condition, I'm
surprised Sloan allow Williams to play more minutes against D.
HArris,that's mind boggling!..Williams and Sloan should have been smarter
in cases like this, this should not happen again

Williams is playing at about 80%. Jazz are being carried by role players. They'll turn it around though, of that I'm sure.
