The SL Trib scooped the Des News. But hey, at least the DN got the Jazz game and the USU football score in ......

It was a bad day for the Mustangs--destroyed 97-57 in men's basketball by USU and getting thrown out of the NCAA Division I football tournament at home by Weber State.

I am happy for both these schools in my native state of Utah.

Congrats Wildcats. Great game, great coaching, Poly could not pressure the QB because MacBride had 'em prepared. You got ahead, our QB pressed because of it, so game over. 6 TOs for us all year, and 5 tonite - the Wildcat D made plays, our D did not. We gained 530 yards, and LOST. Unbelievable - beat Montana. Toone (?) was unbelievable for Weber, three great circus catches - don't believe he dropped anything he touched.
