Good news! But I dont like that he says he won't be able to play the back to back this weekend. If his ankle is not healed enough to do that, then should he really be playing tonight? I think he needs to stop being a baby. =]

Don't make excuses before you try and play D-Will, just go do what you can for as long as you can. Thats all we need.

Magic Johnson, along with the rest of the Basketball world, use to lace up their Basketball High Tops. They were to protect ankles and that is what they were designed to do. Air Jordan, Nique and all the great ones did the same thing. Todays NBA players are trying to look fashionable.

How fashionable is it for a 100 MILLION DOLLAR PLAYER to be on crutches?

Deron Put on some High Tops Darn It!
Bill Simmons ESPN... | 3:07 p.m. Nov. 26, 2008
Here is the latest comment by Bill Simmons on ESPN...I think he forgot D-Will is hurt. Someone posed him this question and his response follows. What a moron.

9. Is there a dumber argument in sports than "Chris Paul or Deron Williams"?

I argued before the season, passionately, that Paul was in a different league and earned myself a few death threats from the Salt Lake City area. (You stay classy, Utah.) Check out their 2009 stats through four weeks:

 Paul: 20.5 PPG, 12.2 APG, 2.9 steals, 52.3% FG, 85.6% FT.
 Williams: 7.5 PPG, 8.0 APG, 0.0 steals, 26.7% FG, 66.7% FT.

I mean, that's a landslide! Come on! Can we all agree to stop arguing about this?
Bill Simmons | 3:29 p.m. Nov. 26, 2008
Um, no if you consider the fact that Deron has been hurt all year, and only played in parts of two games.

Um, I think that Mr. Simmons comments were said in jest. I know I thought that it was funny.

Come on DWill, suck it up and earn your bucks. Tape that ankle and get off your butt and play. I work when I am hurt or sick and I earn a pittance of what you do. It just seems that the big money makers on the Jazz are hurt - maybe they are enjoying an extended vacation. But I'll bet it doesn't keep them out of the clubs in SLC. In my day, if you were to sick to go to school or to work - you didn't leave the house. Oh how times have changed.

WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOO!!!

I love you D-Will

Go Jazz :)

I think Simmons is tired of Jazz fans acting like idiots when it comes to the whole D-Will/CP3 argument. So what do you do when an idiot refuses to stop annoying you? You start to annoy back. I'm guessing the Jazz fan that posted Simmons comment is exactly the "death threat" giving, "classy" sort of Jazz fan that it was aimed at.

Having spent enough time on these boards I can see exactly where the guy is comming from.

Even if D-Will comes back 100% the pieces around him aren't enough...the Jazz need Iverson
DWill | 6:01 p.m. Nov. 26, 2008
I am not worried about DWill or the whole Hornet team for that matter. DWill will be fine in a month or so and can play better than most PGs at 80%.

What I am worried about is that the Lakers are probably on balance a stronger team thru the first 6 players than the Jazz. They are probably also stronger thru the first 11 players.

What concerns me the most is that we do not have an adequate replacement for Booz if he is hurt or in foul trouble. I am impressed with SAP but he does not match up well with the tall LA front line. We also have problems if Memo is out.

Koufos shows promise but he is really a college sophmore. He may be ready to help by the playoffs but that is asking a lot. He is not yet the player he will be with 3 more years of experience.

We need one more decent big. We also need more and better 3 point shooting to beat LA and maybe the Rockets and SA.

Hope all the Jazz players will be well by Jan. 2nd when they take on the Lakers.
We want to beat a healthy team.

GO LAKERS!

Seriously, glad you are getting better D-Will, you are a great player.
Be Careful Tonight | 6:22 p.m. Nov. 26, 2008
The Jazz better go out there tonight wrapped in bubble wrap ... just to be safe.
re: Salty Trombone | 6:58 p.m. Nov. 26, 2008
Iverson? No way man. We play team ball here in Utah. Even though the Jazz are severely depleted right now, we are managing to pull off wins because of an offensive based on teamwork. Iverson is just the chaos element that would disrupt our offense. Plus, I'd take D-Will over an aging Iverson any day. D-Will is a better passer, has better court vision, and has a purer stroke to his shot. Iverson is an incredible competitor but we're great the way we are without him.
