It's always strange when a female sexual predator is found, but rare or not, they are out there.
What's disgusting? The fact she pursued a sexual relationship with the boys or the text messaging? There's nothing sick about any text messages that weren't sexually related. Any that were platonic/just friends messages shouldn't be a big deal... even if there was a difference in the ages of those involved. An adult can be friends with a teen or child, that's perfectly healthy.
Dan:
How do you know it didn't start out "innocent" with her (or that it doesn't with others)? You're just assuming that some dirty alterior reason "had" to have been involved (or does in any similar situation).
And then there's that word "predator" that everyone loves to throw around. There's alot of assuming going on whenever people use this word.
Instereo:
You're right that it isn't just men guilty of abusing kids or raping other adults... women do it too. But about your comment "I hope the law doesn't see any difference"... they will. They almost always do when it comes to female offenders, these girls and women usually walk away with a slap on the wrist when for the same crime they'd get stiff/strong punishment if they were male.
It IS statutory rape and she should go to prison.
So go huff and puff your perverted views somewhere else.
Legal marriage is where it is at, and mother/father procreative relationships in responsible and moral environments are invaluable to the family unit, society and the world.
I pray that god may bless and heal all the victims in this case, including the predator who seems to be a victim of her own misguided notions or behaviors.
Nobody is perfect, but we all have to try to police each other to avoid the more dastardly grievances in life.
I am glad that these people are on the road to recovery, hopefully.
PS: Happy Thanksgiving.
And what damage was done here? Anybody? Anybody?
From abstinance to promiscuity how could a forum like this address this subject.
It was WAY wrong for this woman to engage in this activity. Period.
To most of the world, it's wasn't all that off the chart for teenage boys to be "experimenting" with sex. In a Mormon community, not at all, the rest of the country, very normal.
Just some thoughts.
