Darn it......don't we all know that pit bulls are great with kids......just love their owners......play well with others...and keep thieves away from the junked car next to the trailer.

When will stop maligning such a useful breed.
Pit predjudice has to stop before those poor puppies don't like us anymore.

weary of pit bulls | 8:13 p.m. Nov. 23, 2008
My dog was recently attacked by a pit bull in Millcreek Canyon in SLC. We were off the trail with my dog in a down position to let the pit bull pass. Something triggered the pit bull, it dragged its owner who eventually let go of the leash, and my dog was pinned at the neck. Gratefully, after ineffective attempts to get the pit bull off of his neck, one of the owners forcefully punched the pit bull in the head multiple times and it finally released. (Unfortunately, their German Shepherd got a bite in on his mid-section as well). We have a sense of good fortune and gratitude in that it could have been much, much worse than it was for our dog and for my husband and I who were trying to pry the pit bull off of our dog's neck. A few visits to the dog-ER and clinic, and an entire week of missed work to supervise so that our dog didn't pull his drains.

Moab, Utah: It appears that our cat has been killed by an escaped-from-the backyard pit bull. The local Animal Control seems apathetic to this apparent murder. No, it is not the dogs fault per say, but the breed has some characteristics which bares monitoring. I encourage anyone with a neighborhood pit bull to be EXTREMELY WARY.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
