Very cool. I'm impressed. Think globally, act locally. Good for them.

This is great news when such professionals lead the way for a better state. I
congratulate the Utah State Bar and its leaders for looking at positive change
and ways to make a difference in the whole picture of a responsible stewarsdhip.
This is good news for us all in an otherwise troubled world. Way to go lawyers!

"Going green" has now officially jumped the shark and is on its way
toward irrelevance and oblivion. Utah lawyers are mostly a bunch of dim bulbs
anyway, but switching to compact flourescent won't make them bright any
more than writing with balsa wood pens will make them literate.

I'm sorry to see that you are so jaded, Parker. I know a lot of Utah
lawyers and don't agree with your assessment. Peter Corron and Ralph
Becker are Utah lawyers. What is so dim about them? They are truly impresive
leaders. Jon Lear, in the article, appears to be inspiring others to follow his
lead. I hope society has not become so cynical that we cannot promote good
things, like an all day education forum on environmental improvement and legal
reform, that we miss the big picture. We all have our part to play. Walk if
you don't have to drive. Turn off your car instead of letting it idle.
Recylce. Reduce your energy consumption. Reuse items if possible. Use
technology instead of cutting down trees. Lawyers are going paperless, good for
them. I applaud their efforts.

All professionals need to come to work with this mindset. How do we get there?
Leaders need to step up and make conservation a priority. And in our
professional lives, we all need to do our part. Nationally, and
internationally, leaders need to make this happen. From top to bottom, from
leaders to grassroots movements to personal choice, let's do our part to
save the world from further destruction. Look out your window today and ask if
the air is clean in S. L. County or in other counties. Then ask, what can I do.
What can we do together. I'm happy to see Corroom and Becker and other
leaders in our community stepping up. Let's get behind this.
