Congratulations also to Hurricane on a great year and a terrific run to the championship game.
Anyway, congrats to them, condolences to Hurricane. Great game.
Yours is the first comment on this blog that was either stupid or classless.
Juan Diego is a good 3A team but would have its hands full with the top 7-8 teams in 4A and would get run out of the stadium against most 5A teams.
Take this victory for what it is and enjoy what your team has accomplished. Good grief
Congratulations to Hurricane. They played very well and made it a championship caliber game. I am very proud of the Tigers and their fans. Great season!

Hurricane High School
This is offensive at so many levels that one can only look at the "Words Remaining" count down ticker on the side here and wonder "where to begin?" St. Juan Diego's story reminds us that anyone and everyone can be called by God to do amazing things...and miracles. The story of the conversion of Sam Skaggs calls each of us to treat each and every moment with dignity and love. Our campus reflects the best and brightest of our long tradition, from the Our Lady of Sorrows shrine that comforts our grief to St. Michael who protects us (and our police officers and soldiers and sailors and Marines). Not only does the day begin with prayer, but so does each class.
To get the day off for the State Game, our students gathered over 10,000 books for "Invisible Children" in Africa (for the school library) and, I believe, 4000 cans of food for the various local pantries.
Many of the faculty members devote countless hours to CCD, RCIA and parish programs as well as providing moral, financial, and spiritual help to many other causes.
Think before you write. Pray about it.
a great game and had a great season. Except for
two plays you would have won the game. It was
one of the best high school football games I've ever
seen. Congratulations to Juan Diego Soaring Eagle.
You played with great heart and were a worthy
opponent. I'm proud to say I'm a former Tiger.
As to this comment: "shameful officiating" Yeah, not so much. Calls against JD did come at some inopportune times, but they were legit calls that should have been and were made. And that's from a football fan with no horse in this race.
We're all proud of Hurricane's season and how they came out in the second half and went toe to toe.
At any rate, congratulations Juan Diego. Your team and your coach are a class act all around.
Don John - Thank you for giving us the history of Juan Diego... But frankly, nobody cares.
To anonymous - should have voted for school vouchers...
To anybody who used the word Catholic in their comment - get over yourself, no matter which side of the fence you are on.
To the person who is going to comment about this - Ha ha ha ha ha...
The real issue here is a private school competing against a public school. Someday somebody will figure out that the small town communities don't stand a chance against the almighty dollar!
Split the leagues and let the rich kids play against each other.
