Neither mentioned the massive tax increases that will be coming this year to
satisfy the transportation lobby (Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce). They will
probably raise the state sales tax again like they did last year (which hardly
anyone heard about until the end). Motor vehicle registration fees may go up
(again). They may even raise the gas tax.

Lavarr Webb was wrong. There was a collective sigh of relief on both sides of
the isle that Greg Curtis is gone. Hopefully the new guys will play fair and
not be a dictator. Good government needs open discussion and compromise. These
are things that Greg Curtis did not understand!!! Thank heavens he is gone!!!

I'm open minded and optimistic about the new leadership teams. What we
should all watch for is integrity. If the leadership teams have integrity, they
will open up the legislative process and let more people see it for what it is
and do less back door dealings. I also disagree with Anonymous. Sales taxes did
not go up last year. And my sense is that we need more government spending right
now, not less.
