Once again; when you have no concrete evidence ... speculate and place the blame on the evil energy companies. Just as likely one of your car-top boaters transported the mussels in.

And don't forget that migratory waterfowl don't wash their feet either.

I feel the zebra mussels are from Lake Powell.

I think that AlGore planted them to keep water from going to the power plant thereby shutting down that coal powered plant and reducing "green house gasses" that might contribute to the fable GLOBAL WARMING.

The zebra mussels were introduced into the great lakes some 30 years ago by foreign ships traveling thru the st.lawrence seaway.they would discharge their ballast water into the lakes and the results have been disasterious.the zebra mussel is a foreigner.

Huntington Reservoir is not downstream from Electric Lake as the story says. Obvious incorrect statements like that make the whole story suspect.

Zebra Mussels would need water to survive the trip from the contaminated source to Electric Lake. A car-top boater probably dumped all their water out and dried things up when they put their boat on top of the car and drove all the way to Electric Lake from some contaminated source. Water in a container truck doesn't go dry (that is kind of the point) and a tiny mussel could hang out in there until it is dumped into Electric Lake. I'm not saying that is what happened, but just think about the idea that it probably wasn't a car-top boater.

About the ZM source you are all wrong: Have George Bush and/or Dick Cheney ever issued statements denying involvement?
