Joe,

Do your research. Quarterback for the U is Brian J-O-H-N-S-O-N. Not Thompson. Wow! That was horrible.

Personally, I prefer the potatoes & gravy, stuffing, turkey & cranberry sauce fare. But maybe that's still available on Tuesday night.

I'd agree that Chuck-A-Rama has the best tasting buffet in Utah. And, maybe, just maybe, the meal there is more satisfying (perhaps even more nutritious) than what BYU food service offers on campus for its team. Among other things, this may be one thing that gives the Utah program an edge!?!

I'm not a football player. But, if I were, knowing they eat there once a week, might be enough incentive for me to go to the "U" than "BY-Zoo".

Anyway, I am a "U" alum, and bleed red. GO UTES!

I am glad to see that the guys are prepping for their future careers with a degree from the U. Maybe the talented ones will make it out of the dishroom to bussing tables.

Chuck-A-Rama has to be the worse name for a resturant ever!!!!!
RE: phillypoug | 8:20 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
What humor, what wit, Who are you Lenny Gomes? And coming from someone in such a classy city as "Philly". Famous for it's cream cheese and more abandoned buildings than occupied ones and a crime rate always increasing and expanding.

I can't wait to hear you cry all the way from Penn when the "Chuck-a-Rama" fed Utes spank the "Dinner Dog-Cougar Eat" fed cougar kittens.

I like Chuck-a-Rama and it was a nice article. But the QB name is Brian Johnson.

To JAB: I agree. That's why I call it "Up-Chuck-A-Rama!"

I like Barf-O-Rama for some things but Golden Corrall has all the steak you can eat.

Choke-A-Rama - sweeeeet.........
Dawes | 8:29 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
More like Choke-A-Rama after the last two losses to Cougs.
Waste | 8:40 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Wow, can I have the 3-4 minutes back that I spent reading this waste of time and space article? Who cares?!
Craig | 8:58 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
From the picture it looks like Sakoda is getting his calories. Good for him. I have a feeling the Ute punter will need all the calories he can get to be ready for Saturday.
this is a non-story | 8:59 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
What a waste of time. If we have run out of good story ideas for the game, then just don't print articles like this. I'd rather see a blank page than drivel like this. I doubt most people care even a tiny bit about the Utes eating at Chuck-A-Rama on Asian night every Tuesday. No wonder newspapers are struggling to pay the bills.

I guess this makes Chuck-a-Rama cool again?
good story | 9:40 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
if u dont' like it, don't read it and complain, just move on. some people like to hear a little about the way things work.
kenny | 9:46 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Who comes up with these silly articles? But it beats reading about bailouts, government loans, unemployment, the domestic auto industry, elections!!!!!! Speaking about elections: Bill and Hillary just wont go away will they.Maybe we need to send them to Chuck-A-Rama Bama Sama.
Sam n Ella | 9:48 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Hopefully the Utes picked up a little Salmonella this Tuesday. Can you believe Brian Thompson...er I mean Johnson...is mentioned on FoxSports top 10 Heisman watch while Max Hall isn't? That's as big a joke as this story.

upchuck-a-rama? Then, Why does Whittingham hold his weekly coaches show @ the Famous Daves in Midvale/Cottonwood Heights?

Now, there is some good eats.

BTW; Devils Spit on the CornBread is phenomenal.
Does anyone care? | 9:53 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Good grief. Who cares. Tlk about overhype.
Maybe magic will happen and they will all get food poisoning. That might give BYU half a chance.
Hey Non-story | 10:01 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
What do you expect them to report, the playbooks for both teams? This is the same sort of stuff that the papers write about during bowl weeks and Superbowl hype... This is like ratings weeks and they need to fill up as much of the paper with blue and red articles. That's Life!
BYU fan | 10:07 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
I am a BYU fan and of course I want them to win, but in the long term, the best thing for BYU and the MWC would be to lose respectably to Utah and cheer them to a good Fiesta victory, something that would make TCU and BYU look like the rated teams that they are, and all three might even finish in the top 20 if they all win their bowl games. One or two more years like this and the MWC might just replace one of the has-been eastern conferences in the BCS and then the MWC champs would have a chance at being automatics to the ESPN College Playoff Series (ECPS).

Play well BYU, may the best team win!
Food Critic | 10:17 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
How much is Upchuck paying the paper for this article? What Utah really needs is an IN-N-OUT BURGER!
Re: Anonymous | 10:17 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
A man after my own heart! You gotta try Kent's BBQ cornbread recipie (Food network) with Devil's spit on top. Incredible man!

(Oh yea, GO UTES)!
In-n-out | 11:21 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
we have one in Utah but you have to go to St. George..
Kay | 11:22 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
I'll go for that IN-N-OUT BURGER
Stay tuned... | 12:43 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Tomorrow we'll learn what deodorant each player uses.
Taking other's seats?? | 3:16 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
I travel a lot for business and have never once ended up in someone else's seat, let alone two different people's seats. Is he trying to sneak into first class? What is this guy doing?
Re RE:Phillypoug | 3:49 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
I apologize profusely. I must have hit a nerve with my overused stupid little joke. Maybe it was just a little too close to home.

Sincerely,
PhillyCoug
I read.... | 6:49 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
somewhere that the owner of the Chuck is a USU Alumni. Is Mr. Evans mentioned here or was there a previous owner before him? Just wondering....

I can just see the Linemen consuming lots and lots of food. Way to go Chuck A Rama...
Chuck-a-rama | 10:18 a.m. Nov. 20, 2008
I played for Skyline high during the glory days. We played against Dixie High School (St. George) over UEA on a short week. BEFORE the game, the coaches took us to Chuck-a-rama. We were counseled to stay away from fried foods, but I still remember one of our O-linemen piling on the fried chicken. Needless to say, we played a pretty sloppy game. We took care of business by a wide margin, but it wasn't pretty. I felt like we were sweating gravy.

I definitely think Chuck-a-rama postgame makes much more sense.
Re: Re: Re: Phillycoug | 10:41 a.m. Nov. 20, 2008
I love you man...Koom by ya and all that other stuff anad have a wonderful thanksgiving. Eat a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich for me. OK? No really Sorry.

Go Utes still!!!
re: Chuck-a-rama | 11:04 a.m. Nov. 20, 2008
They eat chuck-a-rama on tuesday...the game is on saturday...i am pretty sure they are not going to be sweating gravy by then...

They probably have a strict diet from friday to saturday gametime...

to the guy that was mad about Brian Johnson being in the top 10 Heisman watch list, its because they are 11-0...and, while Hall may have the passing stats, Johnson does many things that have proven he is a great quarterback as well

I personally think they both deserve to be recognized on the list (neither deserves to win), but they see how Utah is 11-0, has actually beaten a ranked team, and has 2 great come from behind victories...and the quarterback guided all of it...

BYU got smoked by the only good team they played all year...

If BYU can pull out a victory saturday, which i pray every night that they wont, you will start to hear Max Hall's name come up again when talking about great quarterbacks in the nation...
Pumped Up | 9:53 p.m. Nov. 20, 2008
A story about the Utes eating dinner at Chuck-A-Rama. That really gets me pumped up for the big game!

Since there is interest, I had a Banquet frozen dinner on Tuesday. Now, I know what you are thinking, "yuk-a-rama", but I was creative. I put some shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and onions on top of the beef tamales (that didn't really look like beef tamales) and it was pretty good.

I am feeling better now after sharing this important information.
