Improvement needed | 10:27 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Observations from tonights game:
1) lots of standing around in half court offense
a. players seem disoriented
b. very poor shot selection
2) not a lot of defensive aggression, but lots of silly fouls
3) need to make foul shots
4)seems to be a general lack of discipline
Hopefully coach can shore things up before conference play starts.

Hooray! | 10:34 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Our school used to be a basketball school. How things have changed! Boylen won't get more than two more years to resurrect the program. He's good at developing individuals but he needs to learn how to develop the team.

The joke continues with a coach who does not know how to coach. Benching to talented players like Shaun Green and Tyler Kepkay is NOT paying off. The two players went 1-11 and scored a total of 6 points. Way to waste the talent Boylen. Who else puts their best players on the bench and starts others who are NOT players who should be starting. Tillie over Green, gimme a break. C'mon Chris Hill, let this end, BULLWINKLE MUST GO!

Coach Bolin lacks the ability to unite the players into a smooth functioning organized "team" effort. During the game, he is so franticly expelling self generated physical effort by his gyrations along the side court, that he loses the concentration or tactical decorum to effectively orchastrate the unity and coordinated effort of the players on the court. I predict he will only last as head coach for another year or two at best, until he is released. He is a bundle of waisted energy.

Wake up Ute fans | 12:05 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Please don't act like you watched games last year or this year and are qualified to critique Coach Boylen. Boylen is a solid coach. Last year he turned a soft, embarassing Giacoletti coached Utah team into a tough defensive minded team that competed in every single game, and ended up with a winning record. He didn't "bench" Green and Kepkay, who are both overrated, he wants more experience and talent coming off the bench, which is a smart move. Look at Ginobili and Kirilenko coming off the bench in the NBA, genius moves. These Ute "fans" that freak out after a loss to a bad team in a game they probably didn't even attend drive me nuts. Be a true fan, then give an educated opinion. Boylen will lead the Utes to a conference championship in 3 years or less.

Are these Cougar fans??? | 9:20 p.m. Nov. 21, 2008
You sound like BYU fans. Utah is good, Boylen is GREAT! Go to a practice and see how he handles these kids. This is a great coach, there is a reason you are typing and not coaching.
