Anyone that can have the success he had at New Mexico is a good coach. I don't know if I consider him classy though.

I don't see how they are going to attract another coach as good as he is. New Mexico isn't the most attractive coaching job in the nation.

One reason I think he left was that Long realized given the quality of the four programs in front of him in the MWC -- Air Force, BYU, TCU, and Utah -- and the continuing improvement of UNLV and Colorado State 4-8 seasons such as this one were going to become more common for the Lobos.

He stepped out before that fact became obvious to the administration and fans.
