He'll play | 8:13 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
I'm sure he'll play. They aren't fooling anyone here. But if he doesn't, George is just as good anyway. It's more the system than the player with TEs down there.
Steve Young | 9:18 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
They're not trying to fool anyone. They said he's planning on playing. btw, George is a great player but he's not Pitta, don't fool yourself.
U Not Fooled? | 9:23 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Oh, was BYU trying to fool anyone into thinking something other than what is reported? Pitta sustained an injury and the report is that he'll receive rehab, practice later in the week, and might play with a brace. Is that trying to fool somebody? Mentioning Andrew George is pure tom-foolery!! This article was an update and consideration of potential scenarios. If anybody is fooled UP THERE, it's on their on volition.

He'll play in a brace | 9:36 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Fooling anyone?
Kewers | 10:28 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Play this game every year. This or that someone might be hurt but MIRACULOUSLY comes out and plays. The Wes Unseld card has been play ad nauseum.
Pitta | 10:50 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Backstreet's back...Alright!
To: Kewers | 11:14 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Dude, you're weird. You are kidding, right?
Mike B. | 11:20 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Injuries are part of the game every team has them. I don't think that even if we are all at full speed will it be enough for a real talented Ute team. I love the cougars, but I am being realistic. I hoe that I am wrong and every cougar fan can chew on me cone Monday morning. Well not everyone I don't want to be killed. Here is to hoping I am dead wrong.
What'll Max do?! | 11:56 a.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Gees, with Pitta out, that leaves ONLY Austin Collie for Hall to throw to. Anyone who's watched a single BYU game this season knows that Max only throws to his two BFF's, even if they're in double or tripple coverage.

Utes, if Pitta's out, put 5 guys on Collie. Max will be beside himself.
Collies that good | 12:27 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Even if there were 5 Utes on Collie, he'd still catch the ball! He could run circles around every guy Utah has! Pitta only adds too it. I'm not concerned either way. BYU is going to win and win soundly! Utah is overrated! BYU is right about where they should be at this point in the season. With a win over Utah though, they'll finish top 10 just in time for next year!

Gees, with Pitta out, that leaves ONLY George, Unga, Fui, Reed, and Collie to throw to. And those are just the primary receivers. Utes will NOT stop the Max Hall machine on Saturday.

Pitta is Out | 1:53 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Unga is hurt.
Collie drops balls.
The D secondary is sorry.
The front line is slow.
Bronco is hoarse.
BLUE is sad.
RED is IN.

RED WILL WIN!!!!!
RE: Collie | 2:30 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Uh, yeah, Collie is that good...
poor delusional zoobie zoobie zoo...
RE: Collie | 2:41 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Yes, you're right--delusional. And the only thing more delusional than those zoobies are the national stats that rank him as the top receiver in the entire nation.
RE: Pitta is Out | 2:42 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
LOL. After last year's 4th and 18 it's comical that ANY Ute fan could fathom a derogatory comment about Hall or Collie.

They ate you for lunch last year, so go ahead and tell us they're not good.

And you say Zoobies should keep our mouths shut. Back at ya baby.
Eugene | 2:44 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
It's going to be a close game, but I predict that the Cougar defense will rise to the occasion. Both Pitta and Collie each have 100 yards in receptions with Hall throwing for 350 yards and 3 TD's.

Comes down to a final Utah drive that unbelievably the Cougars are able to stop with a turnover.

BYU wins 34-28.
RE: Eugene | 2:46 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
As you're dreaming about the Cougars' unbelievable turn over King Loius will be kicking a field goal to push the Utes over the Cougs as the clock expires.
Game stats prediction | 2:58 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
BYU will be 1 for 1 on 4th down conversions and that 1 first down conversion will be for 18 yards. You can sew it on your cap!
Anonymous | 3:01 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
With divine intervention, of course.
Yo Fool | 3:04 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Pitta was walking around on the sideline after he got hurt... if it was anything serious, he wouldn't have been on his feet. He probably will not be at full strength but he will play. Even if he doesn't, there are other options at WR and RB to catch the ball. Unga hasn't been as big a part of the pass offense this year because other guys (Pitta, Collie, etc) have stepped it up, so he hasn't needed to, allowing Bronco to keep him fresh for the running game. Even without Pitta, we can throw in Unga and get Utah's linebackers mismatched. Utah's defense can't match up with BYU's offense. I'm worried about the BYU defense but in terms of position-specific matchups, it looks like BYU has the cumulative advantage.
Breaking News | 3:08 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Is anyone listening to KSL? The just reported that Sakoda injured his kicking toe (turf toe) in practice today and is likely out for saturday's game. They hope to have him back in time for the bowl game.
Re: Collies that good | 3:08 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Why is it that BYU fans are always geared up for "next year"? It seems weird that "next year" never seems to come for the Cougars.

Go Utes!
@ breaking news... | 4:46 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
So, you're sayin' the UTES are deep in a jam ? like, toe jam ?
Pita is a target now | 5:01 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Utah players will now target Pita's knee to try to take him out of the game.
Don't Buy It | 6:08 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Its only a ploy so don't buy it. Sakoda is doing just fine. The Utes are only giving BYU some reason for hope. For instance: "At least they won't be able to get any three pointers." Like that was a concern anyway.
Pitta is Scared | 7:17 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
The real reason Pitta is limping around is he is afraid of the Utes. They cleaned his clock last year and will do it again. He doesn't want to embarrass himself on the field.
Anonymous | 7:32 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Hey ZOOT suit ute grad, can I get a large fry at the game this Saturday? Be sure and cook my burger well done please because there will be enough red in the stands.
Re: Yo Fool | 8:34 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
"position-specific matchups"...you mean like quick receivers against slow white, walk-on and junior college transfers lb's and db's...you tell me who wins those "position-specific matchups." You have no idea what you are talking about.
Blade | 8:35 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Is that a spare tire around Pitta's waist in that picture? I can't tell...
Spudman | 9:02 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
I look for Reed to have a great game. We will see the Utes in the Poinsetta Bowl in a match up with the Broncos and it will be 2004 all over again. The Utes are way over rated.
bakerb | 9:12 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
I think there might be a spare tire on Pitta's waist. In fact, I'll bet with his bum knee and spare tire that UTAH can probably cover him one on one with a MLB. Then, they can focus more attention to the outside.

Come on UTES! You don't know what will happen this Saturday any more than we do! You can admit that you have that sinking feeling in your stomachs that something really HORRIBLE might be on the horizon for you.

I hope that the winner enjoys and that the loser can survive. It will be agony and ecstasy!
Sensei | 11:07 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008
Sweep the leg.

You have a problem with that?
Elementary School.. | 11:51 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Wow. For a moment there I thought I was in elementary school again. It seems as though most Utes fans here have the, "my dad could beat up your dad" mentality. Constantly thinking up ways and scenarios that their Utes will prevail victorious. Haha. Just wait for the game and then talk smack after. By the way, I couldn't help but notice that there was not a single finger pointed at any one player or person from the U of U while on the contrary that all you utes fans did. Collie this, Hall that, Pitta's hurt and won't play. If you're not scared, then why try and think of everything that needs to happen for the U to get the W? GO COUGARS!!
Just Wait... | 11:54 a.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Just wait and see ya'll... The game is on Saturday. Until then, I don't want to hear any more from Utes about BYU's injury report.
Mid Section | 12:40 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Is that a QB wrap on Pitt's midsection or is he now sportin a belly?
ITS A BRACE | 4:38 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
He has a brace around his trunk section. The photo is misleading. Pitta is a lean dude.
Jared | 10:11 p.m. Nov. 19, 2008
Pitta is a go to guy but BYU is a TEAM. Dont try to pin their success on Pitta. They have plenty of talent. George is outstanding but hasnt been in the spotlight because Pitta has the spotlight. Big games require big players to step up. The team who steps up more will win. With or without Pitta, BYU has a great chance. You can throw all predictions out the window for any BYU Utah game. Its going to come down to who has the ball last...again. Oh, and GO COUGARS!
