The fact that Tucker was in the Sound booth with the gun makes me think he was hiding from others knowing that he shouldn't have it. I know Tucker personally and he was a good kid, but he did not respect authority and was often into mischief. I spoke with Tucker last week and he was telling me of problems he was having at school. Problems he caused by breaking rules. He was laughing as he told me of pranks he was involved in. Most of the responsibility of his death lies with himself. Tucker was the same student who was involved in the Oct. 10 incident which brought out the SWAT team and locked down the school (involving a prop gun for the Oklahoma play). It is very unfortunate and I feel very sad for his family. Life can be fragile. Tucker has a good family that is strong and will get through this with support and prayers.

You don't have to be a gun RIGHTS advocate to teach gun safety from the time kids are old enough to understand THE PARENT'S LANGUAGE.
1.ALWAYS TREAT ANY GUN LIKE IT WAS LOADED
2.NEVER POINT A GUN_EVEN ONE YOU THINK ISN'T REAL OR LOADED AT YOURSELF OR ANOTHER PERSON
those are the two rules I taught all my kids since they were tots and NOT one has ever shown any interest in owning or using a gun. I have always liked to shoot skeet (clay pigeons)and I own a shotgun-it stays put away with a trigger lock on it and the shells are locked up too.
MY deepest condolances to the teenager's family--I think the fool who brought the gun onto school property is at least civilly if not criminally negligent. Since the article doesn't say WHO brought the gun or how this 15 year old got it -the D.A. should look into it to and make sure to take the educational and if appropriate legal steps to prevent any further accidents of this kind.

Why do they need to use a real gun in a theatrical production??? Who's running that place?
