You got the fake personality down. I tell kids who want to be anchors that if they report fairly without bias they have no future in mainstream media.
What you do not understand, is that they DO -- so when you critics of the "mainstream media" don't see "Obama is a Muslim" or "Obama is a terrorist" reported by reliable news sources as the truth, you think that no one is paying attention.
They DID pay attention. That's why the majority of voters ignored the UNverified reports of the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Reillys, hoax emailers, Roger Ailes and other political tools financed by the multi-billionnaires who have got us into this financial mess.
News program on CNN.
I especially like the feature entitled:
"Keeping Them Honest".
I do believe that news features like this does cut down on Governmental Leaders from thinking they are
"privedged" and above the law that the "common" folk must follow. It cuts it down because this type of media stories create an atmosphere of "Accountability" to their final authority:
Their Constituents, the Voting Public!!
Politicians do behave better, like many others,
when Accountability is Present!!
You can really get into trouble when you get your information from a bunch of left--wing bloggers.
The LA Times still is holding a secret tape of Obama's probable praising or an anti-semite racist. Is that checking all sources, or hiding those who tell a different story than you want to hear?
Daily reports on disaster in Iraq when in fact great progress was being (and continues to be) made comes to mind.
The national media's willful turning of a blind eye to Obama's numerous nefarious cohorts (Ayers, Rezko, Wright, etc, etc) is an example of one sided partisanship simply by failure to look at ALL sources.
The local media's lingering fetish for skewering Chris Buttars over an out of context comment and terming it "racist" and overlooking the many fine works he has done helping troubled youth of all races.
Generally the Deseret news local reporters do a pretty good job, but the blind acceptance of every AP story shows that editors have lots their ability to fact check, and are little more than human spell checkers and layout artists.
Most electronic news media reporting is abysmal propaganda read by oafs with pretty hair.
