What channel is cbs c on comcast in the sl area? Can anyone help? Thanks
Finish Business | 9:48 a.m. Nov. 15, 2008
The first of 2 victories left! BYU beats AFA by 17, then goes up and spoils Utah's BCS destiny. Collie will get his hundo, and the defense will gain momentum now that Brandon Howard is finally out. Nov. 22nd will be full of fumblerooskies, Asiata direct snaps, Loucks with the QB sweep to the right side, and of course King Louie with the fake punts. Go Cougs learn to play defense this week and you'll be crowned for the 3 peat!

It's going to be a great game no matter who wins. I'm cheering for BYU, though. Both teams are going play very well because so much is on the line.

What channel is CBS-c on direct TV in the Salt Lake area?
Re: SiMPle | 11:16 a.m. Nov. 15, 2008
CBS-c is channel 274 on comcast. But it's part of the sports package, which you may or may not have.

It's the channel I watched my Utes beat a team that slaughtered your Team Down South.

I'll be watching this Air Force game. They can't pass, which means you'll probably win. But if they could, man oh man you'd be done. Just like the Utes will do to you next week.

Go Utes
BYU Fan (The Orginal) | 11:20 a.m. Nov. 15, 2008
BYU cannot win at AFA today for the simple reason they are unprepared. They are not quick enough, nor are they focused to get the job done. And they are not a top 25 team...you can't be in the MWC. They are #15 west of the Mississippi. Take a look at all the teams in this area. Utah a top 10 team. Give me a major break. They squeak out a home field win over TCU in the last couple of minutes and are rewarded with that ranking. Come on Ute fans. Florida is the #1 team in the country if there is such a thing as #1 by pure analysis of the season.

Nevertheless, I am still rooting for the Cougars to win....I could care less about rankings....they are a serious joke. Take a look at what has happened to all the #1's, #2's, etc....when they lose one game, they drop precipitously in the polls. It would make just as much sense to rank every team who defeats a #1 to become #1 with the victory. Whoever the pollsters are making up these polls are just acting in a convoluted manner.

I am seriously rooting for BYU/win/out/the/remainder/of/the/season.

Ok war kittens we need you to play your very best and scrape out a win here. We need you to try to stay in the top 20 so we can give you a million bucks! Go Big sisters!
Re: BYU Fan (the original) | 11:43 a.m. Nov. 15, 2008

as I read your blog, I thought to myself --wow, a Cougar fan with some logical sense.
Then, you lost it with this "...I am seriously rooting for BYU/win/out/the/remainder/of/the/season"

I guess what they say is true --Cougar fans and logics don't go together.
'Till next year...Poinsettia Bowl is all you can wish for.

afa blowout | 12:12 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
have fun getting POUNDED by the academy. Air Force might set some sort of record for rushing yards in a single game today. You will be demoralized coming into RES and Utah will win 63-7, thus giving you another million plus dollars of our hard earned BCS money. I'm tired of consistently going to BCS bowls and sharing the money with BYU. Have fun in the Humanitarian bowl, I hear the weather is great this time of year! I'll be sipping champaigne in Miami or New Orleans!
BYU WHO? | 1:08 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
BYU HAS 0 chance of beating AFA or UTAH especially UTah, The game next Saturday is a fore gone conclusion. Over. Done. No way, no how, no possibility that BYU will even stay close. Utah is so far superior to BYU it is not even close. Why even play this game, instead BYU should come out on their knees and offer the trophy, humbly to Utah and say "o great ones, we are NOT worthy to do any thing more than administer this trophy to you"

Re: "I'm tired of consistently going to BCS bowls and sharing the money with BYU..."

I would hardly call making it to 1 ("1",one, uno...) BCS game 4 years ago a pattern of consistency. You haven't even made it there this year; if you make it, you would have made it 2 out of 5 chances. Still not something I would deem as being consistent. I guess that is understandable that you make such erroneous claims, given that you are a Ute fan!

Whenever I see people say so and so has "zero" chance on something, I will wonder what they know that I don't. If they really know about the future, they are not fliping burger now....
rdha | 2:20 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
I messed up on my last comment relating to BYU Football. The BYU/UTAH game isn't Today, it's next Saturday. I spaced out so I'm a fool. Anyway, GO COUGARS and best of luck against AIR FORCE. I've got nothing to say to the naysayers because I won't waste words in debating. I love BYU Football and that's all.
RE;rdha | 2:27 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
LOL, you're such a fan that you don't even know who they play? That's a good one.

Does anybody know what time the Jazz play the Lakers tonight?

LOL
Undisciplined | 3:05 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
I thought Bronco was all about discipline and accountability. Why then, does BYU continue to make so many boneheaded errors?

Sigh. I suppose it's my own fault for caring.

MWC
1 school 1 1 0 1.00 1 Utah (1-0)

Hey look there are ALL of the teams in the MWC to ever make the BCS. For some reason I can't find byU's name in there anywhere. Compared to *NEVER* once or twice is infinately better.
LoyalUte | 3:21 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
GO AF....... for this game, my team is the UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brendan | 3:27 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
I was not intending to make a case for BYU going to a BCS game, or the lack of BYU ever going to a game. All I was doing is pointing out the problems with AFA Blowouts claim that the Utes have consistently been to a BCS game.

1 in 4 years, maybe one in 5 years if BYU beats Utah next weekend. That is 25%, or 20%, depending on which way things go. If your kid came home with a 25% on their test score, would you be bragging about it? How about if you only got paid 25% of your wages that you earned. Would you be bragging? No matter how you look at it, 25% is NOT consistent. Spin it how you like, but a dog is a dog, no matter how you look at it.

re: GoodGuyGary | 3:58 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
How's this for you....BYU has 0 chance of beating UTAH. BYU has 0 chance at a MWC title. BYU has 0 chance at a BCS Bowl!!!!!

BYU is STRUGGLING with AIR FORCE! Their defense is so weak.

Any one who says they know how the game will go next week is only showing thier ignorance. Therefore I'm very excited to see a well fought game. Go Coug's
GTO | 4:15 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
Great job in 3rd quarter Cougars-21 points! You are doing much better against AF than Utah did! Send Unga into the flat and throw to him! AF can't defend that!

BYU's OCC SOS | 4:50 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008

We know one of BYU's "so-called" BCS opponents will get a win today for sure. UCLA is playing Washington today --battle of the losers in Pac-10.
Oh Yea! | 4:51 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
The Cougs are rollin, just in time for the Yewts. I feel a lot better about our chances after this convincing victory over AF. Let's hear all the Yewt nay sayers now! Bring it on!!
B Rand | 4:55 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
I guess BYU is better then Utah now because BYU beat Air Force by more then the 7 points Utah beat Air Force by.... I love this little comparing game..... Utah, you are overrated, and we're comin' at ya firing on all cylinders baby.... SDSU has nothing to lose against you tonight at home..... could get scary...
Hmmm... | 4:56 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
BYU beats AF by two touchdowns, in Colorado Springs... Funny, Newts managed on a one touchdown win, in SLC... So, okay, BYU lost in Dallas and the Newts barely won in SLC...
Looks close to me... Go Cougs!
re:afa blowout | 12:12 p.m | 4:56 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
If you are tired of BYU getting some money from your one BCS bowl, imagine how tired BYU is from the many years of Utah sharing their bowl money with the losers up north.
zero chance | 4:58 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
that zero chance of BYU beating AFA just turned into BYU beating AFA by twice the margin that red team won by.
Oregon State | 4:59 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008

34-21 over Cal.
OSU is still in control for a Rose Bowl bid.
That would help Utah's BCS case tremendously after next week win over BYU.

If so, consider a coaching career - start with Junior Jazz...

Zero chance of beating AFA?!?!?! In your face!!!!!!! GO COUGARS!!! We totally beat them, and i bet that you watched the whole game to see if we lost. and to your dismay, we WON!!!!!
Utah alum | 5:06 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
Yewtes...I think it is going to be a tough loss next week. Wittingham and the swoops (in black now, used to be crimson and white) don't stand a chance. I'm just glad that Wittingham went to BYU cause he is such an embarrassment to ute alums. I can't wait to see the classless hawk (used to be redskins) fans make complete fools of themselves in the annual mock religion game. I'd still be a ute fan if they were still the redskins, still wore the school colors and played against BYU instead of the LDS church. Hey maybe to fill the stadium you could go down to Temple Square and bus in some of the glbt protesters. You gotta love it.
nope | 5:06 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
not even a LITTLE bit nervous. See, the sad little cougs have lost a game. The Utes are unDEFEATED. Too bad the boys down at BYU don't know what that feels like.
Y Grad / Y Dad | 5:07 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
There is nothing to say to ignorant Ute fans. To try would imply caring, and I don't. The Ute team? Big time respect. Ute fans? You got nothing. Ignorance is nothing. Arrogance is less than nothing.

If Utah wins, great job Utes. When they lose, in the last minute, and Collie makes the difference, your silence will be deafening. And oh so welcome!
BYU | 5:10 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
BYU has a great chance of winning utah, utah had to come back to win air force, BYU won 38-24 if BYUs defense plays like it did today we will crush the Utes, because even though Utahs defense is good BYUs offense is one of the best in the nation with the best receiver in the nation and a quarterback thats on the heisman watch leading them, so if Utah fans are saying that there's 0 chance of BYU winning utah they must be scared cause theirs a good chance.
Mark in Peoria | 5:10 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
It goes without saying...but I'm gonna say it anyway.

Even if BYU were to upset Utah (yes I did say upset...well, at least it would make me upset), BYU would not be in a BCS bowl. Rest assured, all of the power-6 conferences will be cheering for the cougars. They don't want any non-BCS team taking away one of the BCS $lots.

Bottom line: Either BYU beats Utah, ends up 11-1 and playing in the Poinsettia Bowl. Or they lose to Utah, end up 10-2 and play in the poinsettia bowl.
Crowers Eat Crow | 5:11 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
To the many who crowed a few weeks ago that BYU would lose to Air Force and lose two or their last three, I have just one question: How does your crow taste?

Oh, and by the way, don't get too filled up on crow this weekend. Save room in your tummies in case BYU beats Utah next week. Tee, hee!
Good Win! | 5:11 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
Wait a minute! I thought BYU was going to get killed. Didn't Utah need another last minute drive to beat AF? hmmm.
re:desert cougar | 5:13 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
AFA can't pass so no I am NOT nervous. November 22nd is just another lowly speed bump in Utah's road to their second glorious trip to a BCS game. Utah is not one dimensional like the TDS Boogers. The Poinsettia Bowl is not a bad place to play in December. Hope you enjoy the large check courtesy of the Utes. You're welcome.
Ute fans | 5:14 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
Once again showing your football IQ by predicting AFA to win. You must have gotten your education at the u of u. It shows. Now what was the score when utah played AF? Did you notice that Max Hall set a MWC record for the most touchdowns in a single season? Did you also notice that Austin Collie is the #1 receiver IN THE COUNTRY? Keep your predictions coming. It just bodes well for the Cougars!
re: BYU fan | 5:14 p.m. Nov. 15, 2008
"BYU cannot win at AFA today for the simple reason they are unprepared. They are not quick enough, nor are they focused to get the job done."
