This is a great win for Hurricane. I am told that this is the first time since 1946 that Hurricane has been in the finals. Great win for the Tigers.

Hurricane fans were incredible. Despite having to travel the furthest to get to SLC, they showed up in full Tiger Army gear and in greater numbers than the opposing team.

One more week! This is awesome!

This game was a classic "bend, but don't break" type of game. Hurricane intercepted 4 passes to kill drives which ended up settting the table for scores. They caused fumbles. The "D" was great!

Kudos to Morgan. They played a great game.

Hurricane went to the 2A finals in 1989. They lost to San Juan that year.

Hurricane actually played for the State Championship in 1982, 1983, and around 1990. I think we have not won a Football State championship since 46. Congratulations to the Tigers.

Actually "History" it is the first championship game since 1989 for the Tigers. In any case, thank you to BOTH teams for a great game! Major stat. wise it was as close as they come. Bad breaks on the part of Morgan with the interceptions which were the real difference in the game. Very talented backs on both teams were hugely impressive. Yes, Gordie showed his prowess, but I was also impressed with Morgan's #4. He almost always seemed to find the seams in a very tight Tiger defense and just refused to be brought down by only one tackler.
I'm looking forward to next Friday. Should be a great one no matter who the opponent is.
GO TIGERS!

Enjoy your win, cause its the last you'll get once you run into Juan Diego. You didn't look that good to me. If Morgan would have passed the ball the whole time you would have been in trouble.

What about Hurricanes loss to Logan in the state finals in 05 or 06 (Kenny Scott, Mike Long, Cody Olsen). I'm not sure of which year it was but I'm sure they played in the championship game. Logan was incredible that year.
Hurricane played a great game last night. I was very happy to see the play calling that first drive of the second half. Perfect combination of pass, run to Pugh, run to Sorensen that opened the middle for Dotson.
Morgan was impressive in many ways. They did make plays and number 4 did find ever seam out there. He was a determined runner.

Good luck next week Hurricane!

We had four interceptions. If they would have passed the ball the whole time, we would have had ten interceptions.

Maybe you should take a lesson from all the Morgan trash talkers, or are you too blind/stupid to see what it got them? Take care of your own game today and next week (IF you are there) then we'll see who's talking trash.

Nice comment JD Pride. You are a great example of the lack of class JD has.

Why is Juan Diego so sure they are going to be around next week? They still have a game to play.

Although not a JD Fan, they do have what it takes this year to win it all. They do have an easy region but they are still the team to beat. Hurricane has made a living off turnovers. Juan Diego holds on to the ball it will not be a contest. They turn it over and Hurricane runs away with the title. Head to Head Juan Diego is a better team.

And to "Fact". Nobody really gets what you are saying. Those "facts" mean absolutely nothing. This is a game of matchups and Logan & Delta did not match up well with JD & Morgan. Who did Hurricane play outside of Pine View? Juan Diego is a well coached disaplined team that usually does'nt make mistakes and there defense is stellar. Hurricane is also a good team but when the offenses throw to wide open defenders it makes the defense look better than they actually are. I think after JD whollups PC tonite Hurricane will meet a defensive team they really don't matchup well with. This will mean their big #24 back will not be able to "pad" his stats like was done in previous games.
