I'm Lizzie's brother, and I'm glad to see the support from local companies. I know the costs involved with the surgeries and other challenges this has brought to our family, so I'm grateful for the support. Go Liz!

My partner has XP and we met Lizzie this past June in Sacramento. I'm so glad companies are finally stepping up and taking this disease seriously. You are to be commended for your efforts. Way to go Lizzie

Hi Lizzie and family! So glad to see that you are getting the help and the attention you deserve! IT is a struggle, for sure, but you are so fortunate to have some very compassionate friends and businesses to help you in this lifelong battle! I hope you know you can count on me as one of those friends. Please know that you can contact me if you need a shoulder or an ear, though it sounds like you have plenty of gracious well-wishers already! I'm in this fight with you!
Your sister of the moon,
Debby Livingston-Jones

I am grateful to the newspaper for running this article. I think it's important for people to understand others and to have an awareness for rare syndromes. Lizzie is my sister and it's great to have articles out here so others can understand her better. Many thanks to those who are helping my family with this hard thing.

Thanks to Alpine Tinting and Rocky Mountain. If I didn't have 4 kids and lots of debt I could help out my sister more. Love you Liz.

I am the sister of the Jim and Prov, who did the window tinting, I have a daughter with
Down syndrome and they know the financial and emotional "burden" I deal with every day, of having a child with a disability. I am so very proud of him for donating his time to help a child and family in need. There should be more people in this world like him.

hi lizzie/ my name is mary, my brother is Jim who tinted your windows. I hope this helps you so much and when I come there from NY I hope I can meet you, because you are a very special girl. I haven't met you yet but I love already

We were happy to help the Tenney family now Lizzie can be anywhere in her home without worrying about the sun's UV rays. An added benefit to the family will be a cost savings for cooling and heating.

WOW! I'm Lizzie's Mom and I am so grateful to Jim and Providence for their generous support! They are amazing! And to Michele for her fantastic efforts for XP. Thanks, Lois for writing this wonderful article. We feel greatly blessed!

How grateful I am for the generosity of the Hall's, the manufacturer of the tinting, and others who may have helped protect Lizzie. But most of all to Lizzie's Mom and Dad who patiently suffered so much in so many ways until this wonderful Dermatologist crossed their path..... Lizzie's had a 24/7 lifetime of itching, irritable skin with no relief or escape until now. Blessings upon her for future kindness and relief of pain. Aloha Always, BGAE

It does not surprise me that the Halls did this to help this family out. They are very giving and caring people and have been my closest friends for years. It's not very often you find people willing to donate there time and material to help out of family but it is certainly nice to know that there are still a few good people out there! Best of luck Lizzie.

What a great company. My fathers company did this for years for familys that had children with this affliction. Camp sun down in NY offers a week long stay over camp too for those with xp and other sun related issues. I have a window film complany here in the chicagoland area and will offer the same help to any local family that deals with XP
