WOW - The FDA ordered dozens of imported foods from China held at the border as possible health risks. Most are ethnic treats, including snacks, drinks and chocolates. Does this mean now, Wal Mart's stock's will drop, because they have no more of China's stock on its displays right now in time for "Turkey Day & Christmas, that could kill off us before that time"?. I think so.

The FDA......... | 5:26 a.m. Nov. 14, 2008
This junket by Leavitt has more to do with getting tainted products in to america than improving quality of Made in China junk. We all know that China will not tollerate the american government dictating how they run their business. They are communist, and enemy of america so why does the american government think China cares about us? Sure, China loves the american dollar just like any country, but we american are being subjected to many dangers and faulty products in the name of progress. The progress of business profit and loss statements. There will never be an end to the continous exporting of defective products from china as they could care less. If americans stopped buying these products and the economy of china suffers is nothing new to china. At least their communism is still intact and a few Chinese have become wealthy for a while. Chinese products are what they are, junk, and americans are becoming more discriminating in what they buy. So Leavitt's task is to help the american companies that have taken up residence in China and sending this crap to us.

Safety comes first | 10:32 p.m. Nov. 14, 2008
I applaud Mike Leavitt's work to improve the safety of American imports. It seems to me that an FDA office in mainland China is long overdue.
