in the first place, bring it on we'll be on the field not, hiding in closets, under beds, etc. second, when are you planning on stopping your racist remarks. The Utes are a native American tribe that give the school the honor of representing them on the playing field. To belittle them in you deliberate slurs is nothing short of racist.
TCU | 4:00 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I know TCU wasn't part of the MWC at the time, but since they now are part of the MWC I consider Boise State to be 12-0 vs. current MWC teams.

Perhaps you aren't bright enough to figure out the point being made with the hint of sarcasm. Obvious point: if Boise State is so good, why are they resorting to using trick plays to win against down on their luck Utah State? What needs to be spelled out to you is Boise States lack of class and sportsmanship. Not only did they feel the need to run up the score, but they had to rub Utah State's face in it.
I hope the BCS takes two at large teams so that ANY of the other BCS teams (except the Big East - even Boise State could beat them) will return the favor and mop them up.
No. 17 | 5:07 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
That guy said that BYU is the most overrated No. 17 team ever huh? This is also the same writer that (preseason) picked Clemson to go undefeated, UCLA to beat BYU, said Alabama "wont be a contender this year", and picked Gorgia to play against Fresno St. for the championship.

yeah anything this colorado writer says should immediately be thrown away.
Hardly.. | 5:12 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Boise state hardly ran up the score, the 3rd string QB threw a TD to a freshman in the middle of the 4th quarter against the Aggie starters.

Now, as for trick plays, I suppose they weren't necessary against the Aggies, but believe me, they were not meant for the Aggies, they are used to give the next few oponents something to think about. The Statue Left play to win the Fiesta Bowl was set up in the Idaho game earlier in the year when Boise lined up 4 recievers on the right and threw a screen pass for a TD. Oklahoma obviously saw the tape and overloaded to that side leaving the backside wide open for Ian Johnson to practically walk into the endzone.

I don't necessarily get the sarcasm, but I do sense a bit of jealousy. SCOREBOARD BSU-12 CURRENT MWC-0
TO BOISE ST FANS | 5:39 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
What school is gonna break the BCS? AGAIN? Thats right quit posting on how good Boise St is the Utes obviously have more national recognition and are the better team
Wisconsin Ute | 5:39 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Boise State is a joke. Stop posting BSU fans - you sound like Kip in Napoleon Dynamite when he says he is training to be a cage fighter. Get rid of the Albertsons leftovers blue carpet from aisle 9 and then play somebody East of Idaho Falls and you will then 'get it'. Even a lousy Michigan team would throttle Bo Diddly State.
re; Yeah, But | 9:13 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
I like Boise State, but they wouldn't beat Utah or TCU in a match-up this year, just like they would've lost in a match-up in 2004. I also think we would've beat Boise last year!
MWC not worthy | 10:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
The 'After Further Review' comment is misleading. The MWC has a great record vs. its BCS competition but these are schools ranked in the middle or lower half of their conference standings this year. Utah has NEVER beaten a conference leader from any major BCS conference, neither has BYU or TCU.

You guys beat up on weaker competition and think you deserve to play with the big boys. What a joke!!

The real rankings | 11:46 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Dick,

How can you rank Oklahoma ahead of Texas when Texas won the head-to-head battle? Oklahoma and Texas are comparable offensively but Texas has a better defense.

Actual rankings based on recent play (IMHO):

1. Florida (despite the unfortunate earlier loss to Ole Miss).
2. Texas Tech
3. Texas
4. Alabama
5. Oklahoma
Seattle | 11:56 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008
Why would anyone hate Boise State? Ok, their playing field is a different color but by all I have seen they do play an exciting, effective and seemingly very purposeful offensive game. I wish BYU could look so polished. Their game against Oklahoma truely was one of the best bowls that have ever been played. I expect some people feel that they skate by too easily by playing a relatively weak schedule. They beat Oregon this year I believe and have done well against other schools as well. Maybe I just dont know enough about their fans to dislike them. I do hate to see one team dominate a conference like they have done in the WAC. They need to move to another conference but need more than one sport to bring with it. For now, I will probably root for them if they make it to a bowl game. They deserve it.

Oklahoma beats Texas 9 out of 10 times
Re: The real rankings | 6:57 a.m. Nov. 12, 2008

To rank Florida as #1 is dumb while Alabama and Texas Tech are still unbeaten.
Florida will have its chance to play Alabama and gets in the NC game.

Utes don't get it | 10:18 a.m. Nov. 12, 2008
If I read schedules and results right, BYU has beat Utah the past two years in a row.

I think the arrogant Utes need a scoreboard that shows they have more points before they can claim any type of supremacy.

The Utes have big heads because of how "other" teams have played, but forget to look in the mirror and remember how they needed luck, and the mistakes of a freshman kicked to beat TCU.

Typical Ute fans, resting on the laurels of other teams. Hiding under their beds and in their closets, afraid to take on the Mighty Cougars.

Sure they know how to twist the names, like a third grader, cubers, kittycats, kitty-litter, kittens, BYWho, etc. but they just don't know how to beat BYU.

Bragging rights come when you win, not when BYU wins.

Put a lid on it, do it on the field, and until that day, stay jolly, and call us "Sir", Utah cannot claim anything except losing to the Mighty Cougars.

Looking forward to the quiet RES again at the end of the game, but us BYU fans will try to cheer loud enough to dent the thunderous silence again.

It's the SCOREBOARD, silly-Utes.....

Actually, Air Force is 8-2.
re: Utes don't get it | 11:42 a.m. Nov. 12, 2008
You sure do have bragging rights. You know those Utes sure do suck to have to pull out a win in the final two and a half minutes to beat a team that crushed BYU 32-7. Not to mention the fact that BYU had to pull late heroics against UNLV and Colorado state, both teams that Utah beat by a combined score of 91-37. I would agree that you definitely have a good point...

Why don't you wait until after the game to do the talking. Take your own advice and let the game do the talking.

USC is not the 2nd best team. The PAC TEN is is pathetic this year. USC is maybe 10 or 11th at best. So.Cal homers, Florida and Texas Tech and Texas and Alabama would beat USC easily.

"You know those Utes sure do suck to have to pull out a win in the final two and a half minutes to beat a team that crushed BYU 32-7."

I will give the Utes credit. They forced a freshman kicker to miss two fieldgoals in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Oh, and how they manipulated the Oregon coaches into that lousy clock management, and the officials to throw that late, phantom flag on that 2 point conversion, where Mr. all-everything totally missed his reciever on the two-point conversion.

BTW, why did the superior Utah team have to come from behind in both those games?

For the record, suck is your own term.

@ Utes don't get it:

Really, Utah is lucky? What's not lucky about converting a 4th and 18 in the waning minutes of a game? What's not lucky about your QB scrambling for 30 seconds before finding Harline for a game-winning TD pass as time expired? Sure, Utah has to prove its the worth to the Cougs on the field, but to say Utah gets "lucky" in their close games, and say nothing about how "lucky" your own team has been in the past is just plain ignorance. Or convenience. It is satisfying to see, though, your argument is based wholly on the past, while the Utes are living joyously in the present.

Oh, and yes, insults such as Yewts, ewtes, and uTAH are SO much more mature than kitty cats and cubers. Usually I refuse to deal with such flawed logic, but you sir, proved to be one mighty exception.

Matt is a smart guy...

Matt - 1
All BYU fans - 0

Luck is part of football. Ever heard the saying that sometimes it is better to be lucky than good?

As long as those really good Cougars keep playing the way they are (bad against good teams and bad against extra bad teams) and my Utes keep getting lucky, I will be pleasantly happy...

Cougars = good *cough cough*
Utah = Lucky...10-0 lucky...should be 0-10, should have got killed, blah, blah, blah...shoulda, coulda, woulda...
Tarheel Ute | 10:44 a.m. Nov. 13, 2008
Matt - agreed, however there are as many ill-mannered Ute fans as BYU fans, good or bad and certainly not entirely the exclusive realm south or north of the point. BYU beat Utah, and Utahs wins this year were deserved. I don't recall lightning striking Ute defenders last year or TCU defenders this year. Good/great BYU/Ute players made plays when it counted in the big games.

Otherwise, we are best to "Never argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and defeat you with their experience..." ~Anon.~.

But considering this blog is more about Wyoming and their spectacular win - Go Cowboys - I would like to seem them win out.
