Imagine how good he could have been without the idiotic play calling and predictable, slow moving scheme.

Dieter von Ludwig must go!!!! (before he ruins another QB)

The 2 min dosen't let the defense react to our offensive set. 3 step drop, timing routes.

Why not start every game with it.

Frankly, the offensive play calling is horrible.

Yes, we find a way to each each week, but the offensive potential seems to be misappropriated.

I can't blame that on BJ (exception, horrible fade pass @ UNM), and please no more fumblruskies ($pell).

My hope is that the offense will have a feel good game with the TEC's.

Find a rhythm a stay with it; however, if we're up by 30 in the 4th, I have no problem pulling the shock trUUps. Unlike the CUBERS (TDS). They seem to like the big stats. I don't think Maxy has missed a minute all year.

Love the Utes... will never hear me boo my team at a game... but I have to agree Ludwigs play calling is definately our weakness. Go Utes one game at a time...11-0 sounds good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 in the USA today
8 in the AP
That TCU win should look good with the BCS standings.
Are Kidding Me??? | 10:55 a.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Get real kids! TCU's defense dominated the Utes for 58 minutes using a swarming rush by their front six that KWHIT had no answers for. Then, after two missed field goals (geez, the Utes must have been living right this week, because they got some of that Collie magic!!! ha) Patterson decided to play it "safe" and only rush his four down linemen and play a BYU-esque soft 7-man zone on the final drive.

Against such a stupid defense, Louks could have made the passes that Brian Johnson made on that final drive.

Accept the gift kids. It'll be a different story in two weeks.

Hey buddy, did you not see the score at the end of the game! UTAH won. bYu got there butts handed to them by TCU. I am not worried about the bYu game at all. Your (the Y's) defense is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!! We WILL score on your D. Our D will get its stops and the Utes will prevail on Nov 22. Max hall had better strap up the chin strap tight on the 22nd, because Fotu, Krueger, Misi, Eliapo, and Sly will be out for his head.

GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You BYU fans have been saying the same things all year. I think you should worry about AFA instead of Utah. ha ha. Play like you did against UNLV, CSU, UW, or USU and you'll come into the rivalry game with 2 losses.

Go Utes!
Oregon State | 12:06 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008

is now ranked 25th in USA, 23rd in AP.
Utah now has 2 wins over 2 currently ranked teams in the top 25 --soon that will be 3 wins.
Utah is also ahead of Penn State in USA poll --which is counted in the BCS ranking.

Perfect scenario for Utah | 12:15 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
after 11/22 win over BYU:

Air Force beats TCU, and then in the USA poll:
TCU (9-3)drops to 23rd
Air Force (9-3) moves to 22nd
BYU (10-2) drops to 17th
OSU (at 8-3) moves to 16th (& ends up at Rose Bowl in the end)

Utah would then have 4 wins over top 25 teams

Are Kidding Me??? HaHaHa

I totally agree with you on one point, that it will be a different story in two weeks. Brian Johnson will be able to move the ball all day against a very weak defense.

TCU is extremely fast on both sides of the ball which exposed byu's weakness. Slow teams like byu just don't match up very well with quicker teams like TCU and Utah. Utah was able to adjust and pull out a win.

Speaking of gift "kid", your team has had several gifts in recent history. The UCLA gift in your bowl game last year and Utah has handed you two gifts in the past two years. CSU and UNLV just gift wrapped a couple of recent wins for your average team.

Enjoy your 9 wins... you are headed for 3 straight defeats. AF will beat you in Ft. Collins, Utah will take care of BCS business in SLC and your team will lose in the Armed Forces Bowl.

Go Utes!!

I agree, the Utes are lucky to have escaped with a win last Thursday. What I don't agree with is the statement "It'll be a different story in two weeks."
Utah will be on the winning side of the scoreboard and we will finally get a little peace and quiet that has been lacking here for the last three years. Just like byu, the Utes have been making their own luck. You are just seething with jealousy. Get over it!
re: Are Kidding Me??? | 12:34 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
A different story in two weeks? PLEASE!! BYU has beaten one team witn a winning record, Northern Iowa. They have had difficulty with UNLV and Colorado State, and lost to TCU. I don't see BYU stopping Utah with a last second win this time. I see more a blowout, like in 2004.
re: Are Kidding Me??? | 1:43 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Yes, there will be a different story in two weeks and that story will be that the Utes will have put the Cougars to bed by halftime. The Utes defensive speed and tenacity will be in Hall's backfield all day, put a dead stop to the Unga running game, and Sean Smith will shut down Collie like he has shut down every other receiver this year. Meantime, Johnson will pick apart the slow Cougar defense with Mack and Asiata punching out a brutal running game.

In other words, you will see a repeat of the TCU game, Cougs, for all of the same reasons that the TCU game ended the way it did.

The Utes are on a Roll!!! Look out SDSU and look out BYU. GO UTES!!!!!!!

"Yeah your boys really lit it up tonight against UNM. Wow 13-10. You must be proud. You buys [sic] are going to get THROTTLED by TCU. Your little BCS bubble is going to get popped. Just like BYU, you have no business being in the BCS rankings. You will have 2 losses and be headed to the Albelquerque [sic] bowl. Your QB is mediocre, and you just aren't as good as you think you are. Enjoy your delusions."

Utah gets by NM by a whisper and they still strut.

I wish BYU could play Mich. every week at Mich. Boy, are they the worst team ever or what?"

Come on, Yewts, you're going to have to do better than that to gain national respect. At least BYU lost to a team now ranked in the low-teens.

Me thinks TCU is going to give you a big, fat 'L'..."

Unfortunately for Utah there going to need a lot more than a two minute drill if they go BCS but they won't because BYU Rocks! and they will win Utah
the utes will lose | 10:50 a.m. Nov. 10, 2008
I can see this happening Utah loses to SDSU because everybody looking ahead to November 22 and SDSU will come out with trick plays and Utah will be the one coming into the Holy war just barely losing, BYU can beat Air Force Just like any other team except for Texas Tech
BYU is a Rock.... | 4:01 p.m. Nov. 10, 2008
That is about the speed of your defense and your O-line!!
