Oregon State | 12:03 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008

is now ranked 25th in USA poll and 23rd in AP.
Utah has now defeated 2 current ranked team in the top 25 --soon that will be 3.
Utah is ranked ahead of Penn State in the USA poll (which is counted in the BCS ranking)

you know you can't say anything about one fan base without saying the same about the other right? There was somebody in a byu sweatshirt in the STUDENT section at the Utah-TCU game. That's not immature, that's plain stupid. ANd to Pocatello Cougar-please, don't take away anything from the true utah fans. There are fair weather fans with every single team in the country.

Ranked schedule, it's comical to listen to the kittens rant about their greatness. Reality comes for the second/third time over the next two weeks. LOL!!

Who cares about Utah, beat Air Force!
Anonymous | 5:01 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
how come nobody is talking about byu and there chances to still make the bcs? all that has to happen is byu beats utah and either boise state or ohio state has to lose. there is still a chance.
byuchickfan:93 | 6:22 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
k, so i first have to say, GO COUGS! but really, people lets take the staters out in fourth quarter! that is crazy, when we are beating them but 30, lets let second string have a try.

Oh Ute fans...

is it really worth the chance?

It's as if your eyes are bigger than your stomach. You've ordered so much crow you won't be able to eat it all if your team loses on the 22nd.

Utah will probably win that game. I'm a frank and cynical realist. We would be better off playing with Utah State's secondary than the current mediocrity throwing itself around the backfield.

But...

You know the game will be close. Somewhere beyond your derogatory slurs, your heinously immature posts, and your imposed facade of immortality, you are scared. You are scared because you have more to lose than we do.

Say what you will, but if I were you I would keep my mouth shut until the 22nd. Last I checked, the game is yet to be played, and BYU still has nine wins.

Are you willing to take that chance? Are you willing to get on these boards heckling and hollering about the horrible "kitty cats?"

If you lose no outright conference championship, no BCS, no state bragging rights... the list goes on and on.

But above all else you will eat crow. Lots and lots and lots of crow...

shut up and let me enjoy cheering for my team.

Do you hear what the utes are calling you. High School Team, Pathetic and other brilliant well thought out names.... You play them next week. You will be playing this team with first class well educated fans.
CougarOnTheProwl | 10:27 p.m. Nov. 9, 2008
Good Win Cougars... It was nice to see a dominating performance in the last home game of the season, even if it was against the lowly Aztecs. The defense still needs a little work but progress was made and offensively they seem to be clicking on all cylinders, especially Hall and Collie.

As for all the Ute fans talking trash and posting on the byu board, get a life. The utes have been pretty lucky in a few of their games this year. They really didnt beat TCU, TCU beat themselves with missed fgs and penalties. Utes have had bounces and breaks go their way this year and that wont always happen. So utah fans stop acting like your unbeatable, you could easily have a loss or two right now. You still have to play byu on nov 22nd and we all know that game will be a dogfight. There is no homefield advantage in that game it really doesnt matter where its played or what the teams records are. This is a rival game so you know both teams are gonna bring it and BYU would like nothing more then to ruin your BCS hopes.
RE: Cougar on the Prowl | 12:20 a.m. Nov. 10, 2008
How come 'luck,' as you put it, is bad when the Utes exploit it and miraculous when the Cougs do?
wow | 7:08 a.m. Nov. 10, 2008
haha even if utah gets to a bcs bowl, they would get schooled. because really, utah AND byu are overrated. they are good, but a little overrated. i really don't think anyone in the mountain west is that great right now...but only time will tell.

good luck cougs, my faith lies with you.

Stupid is as stupid writes -- Lt. Dan has obviously been spending too much time on a shrimp boat.

Lt. Dan -- please explain to me how a team can be 9-1 without being competitive on the road?

Like BYU is fearing a team that can't beat Navy.

What is Air Force's overall record against BYU anyway?

Football isn't like a box of chocolates -- BYU fans always know what they're going to get against Air Force: a victory.

Well, the cougs won on Saturday like they should have. Two tough games the next two weeks. They need to figure out a defensive that works. Bronco needs to get back to his old aggresive ways and put the pressure on and take some risks. We here as blog coaches don't know all the little things that are going on day to day in practice, we don't see the kids and what the weakness are. The cougs can win the next two games, they just need to be at the top of their game. Utah, you have a great defensive, but where has your offense gone? You keep saying Brian Johnson is getting it done when he has to, but why should he have to. You have to much talent on offensive to have all these close games. Your defensive is great and fun to watch. I am looking forward to Nov 22. It's going to be a great game. Cougs offense Ute defensive will do their thing. The question mark is Cougs poor defense vs Utes poor offensive.

What is this, Crying, bitter, whining Ute fans on a BYU blog, this can't be, the same fans that were crying and whining on the Pootes blog after the TCU game when BYU fans were saying the same type of things about their lame win.
Utahs teams theyve played | 6:25 p.m. Nov. 10, 2008
Oregon State is like 2-8 Michigan is like 4-6 Utah State is like 3-7 and they are fortunate enough to already play air force so they can say they beat someone good, Utahs going down November 22

>>I don't get these Utah fans. First, they think we care that they come by and leave their droppings on our message boards.<<

1) It is a SLC paper not a Pocatello fish wrap. 2) the DN is an alleged unbiased periodical 3) Even if coverage were slanted, there is still the 1st amendment.

I can't wait for about Dec 2nd. The annual beehive craptacular will be over and most of the whining or chest beating (depending on who U root for) will have died down.

Personally, I am looking forward to The Iron Bowl, The Army/Navy game & Championship saturday on 12/6.

See Y'all @ Barnes & Noble about 4 p.m. on 11/22. ROFL!

>>Oregon State is like 2-8<<

Way to do your research. Beavers are 5-1 in the Pac 10 and in the drivers seat (currently) for the conference Cship and possible Rose Bowl berth. Beavers are 6-3 overall.

So, Cougar fans. How does Penn St thrashing Ore St justify your belief that BYU is better than the Utes?

This about to be richer than The Sultan of Brunei & W Buffet combined.

Sean Smith will put a collar on Lassie (A Collie)!

Sylvester, Kruger, & Joe Dale should have field days.
