Maybe after this historic victory, Cougar fans will storm the field.

That is if the friendly event staff will help them get their walkers onto the field.

We aren't Utah fans. Storming the field after beating an unranked opponent that isn't your rival is ridiculous. Sound familiar???

Zoobs will have their hands full with SDSU because they have only won a couple of games and they are evenly matched. It's too bad the Utes thumped your precious TCU, it must hurt to be fourth or fifth in the league. What happened to the pretentious and hilarious Quest t-shirts. I would love to have one and wear it in the future. Good times, way to go Coogies, you always bring a smile to my face with the over analysis of scenarios at what could happen. Keep dreaming and maybe it (a good victory) will happen in a non-BCS game. You just are not the UTES and never will be, but fourth place is a comfortable and safe position to stay until we decide to allow you some room. Big brother Utes will decide later about zoobie kitties destiny as they do every year.

Yes, it is important to win at home for the Cougar fans. As the records show, this has been accomplished quite handily in the recent past.

But the challenge is to get the team up for each game away from home. Don't count Air Force 'down and out'. Mendenhall's challenge is great to assure that something disasterous doesn't happen at Air Force. This could happen if tooooooo much focus and emotion is put into the Nov 22nd game with Utah when the focus and emotion should be given to the game at hand.

That having been said, then focus and attention should be directed first at the San Diego State game TODAY - forget about whether it is a home game or not.

Focus on Air Force should then begin right after the San Diego game, yes knowing that Utah comes after that. But the whole chase could be blown if the Cougs drop the game to Air Force because they think they have that game 'in the bag'. Air Force is going to be up for BYU, you can count on that, as will San Diego TODAY ! !

Go Cougars ! ! ! (TODAY)! ! !

Disregard the Storm the Fielders and get back to the business at hand . . . thumping the Aztecs. This should be a great coming out again party for the Cougars.

Bring your "A" game, tune up well and hard so that you are prepared going into SLC. A Cougar win over the Aztecs and then Utah won't wash out the sour taste of the TCU loss, but it will at least bring a co-conferance championship and a higher ranking come BCS time.

The future is in your hands . . .

Oops! Forgot to include a Cougar win over Air Force as well. Should speak volumes if the Cougs can beat the Cadets and Utes on their own fields. Tough tasks but possible as long as BYU can block out their TCU nightmare.

Burying Aztecs, grounding Air Force and thumping Utah, sounds like a lot of fun in the blue future! Is it possible?

After that TCU/Utah game was rather stupid that they took down those poles. That was not a perfect game. Can't wait that we Cougar Fans storm the field.

While going undefeated at home for three consecutive years is a very nice accomplishment, it needs to be put in perspective when comparing it to BYU's past.

The home OOC opponents the last three years have been Tulsa, Utah State, Arizona (5-7), Eastern Washington, Northern Iowa, and a terrible UCLA team. Gone are the names like Notre Dame, USC, Penn State, Texas, aTm, Miami, and good UCLA, Washington, and Arizona State teams that used to come to Provo. Also, notice the addition of DI-AA teams basically each year that BYU never used to play.

So, congrats to the Cougars for sweeping the MWC three years in a row and for beating some very weak OOC opponents.

Only small people refuse to give credit where credit is due. The Cougars have done a great job turning the program in the right direction. Let's give credit where credit is due. And a cheap shot at the fans...well, it defines the character of the writer.

Dominate at home against UNLV? I was there, and what I saw was far from dominant.

Not so fast. BYU hasn't been that dominant of late. They need to reestablish that dominance against the MWC cellar-dweller team. Especially defensively. The BYU defense has taken an about face after their bye week. Time to stand at attention and do another about-face!

As long as I can remember, the policy at the "U" has been that the athletic teams which are comprised of students and belong to the students. For example, the students used to get into the games free (though I'm not sure that is case now...perhaps a small fee?!?). It is great to be a participant in "U" sports.

Can someone explain to me why BYU fans think they have the right to dictate how Utah fans celebrate a win?? Far as I can tell, the players very much enjoy celebrating with their fans and the fans enjoy giving high fives to their players. Why do BYU fans think they have a vote in the practice???

I am convinced that the issue BYU fans have with Ute fans storming the field is that The University of Utah allows the practice, BYU does not. Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy.

Don't worry about the comments. The TDS is just worried about what will happen on Nov 22nd when we rush the field for the 3rd time this season.

The kitty fans saw what a trampled cougar looked like at the TCU game. Mow they just don't want to see their poor cougies get trampled twice in the same game!

Great observation. To BYU fans: there are appropriate ways to bring about change, even at BYU.

Your statements about Utah fans storming their field make is sound like BYU fans 'choose' not to storm their field. Typical BYU SPIN. The truth is, if you were of such character you could stand tall and admit it, BYU fans are not 'allowed' to storm the field. Therefore, as in all other things BYU, you want Utah fans to be like you.

You want change at BYU? Change it. But do not suppose that you can dictate policy at the University of Utah.
