A win does NOT give the Utes a share of the title.

Barring an inconceivable loss to SDSU, Utah will clinch no less than a tie for the MWC title with a win over TCU.
bottomline | 8:48 a.m. Nov. 6, 2008
utah has a chance to share the title, byu does not and will not.

byu will finish in 4th place after losing to air force and utah.

Cool, all 4 of our Div I schools on TV this week...sorry for not including SUU as they are Div I too.

I see what you're saying but still, you can't claim a clinch with a Thursday night win just because you should beat SDSU. Sounds a little too arrogant, which is what you like to accuse the TDS of all the time, right?

re:bottom line. As much as I'd like to see it, I don't think the TDS is going to lose to AFA. We always hope it will happen but, for some reason, they present matchup problems for Air Force and usually blow them out even in mediocre seasons. The same way New mexico always plays Utah tough. I think the Utes win in a close one tonight. Much is said of TCU's D (deservedly) but, the Utes are pretty good there too. If it comes down to a close game, I take the Utes with the home crowd and King Louie.
Realm of Possibility | 11:09 a.m. Nov. 6, 2008
Some outcomes are within the realm of possibility and some are simply locks.

BYU and Utah are locks to beat SDSU this season.

to: 9:10 a.m. - I never accuse BYU of anything "all the time;" I'm an avid BYU fan.

Confidence and arrogance are all in the mind of the beholder; which is which depends almost entirely on whose ox is being gored.

BYU's conquest to perfection apparently was referring to 4th place in the Mtn West? or 3rd?
If I'm not mistaken.... | 12:01 a.m. Nov. 8, 2008
BYU can win a share of the MWC Title by beating Utah.....a three way tie has no tie breakers... BYU to Las Vegas Bowl, TCU to the Armed Forces Bowl and Utah to Poinsettia. Probably won't happen, but it might.

Check the record | 9:53 p.m. Nov. 8, 2008
To T Bird Fan, SUU recorded its first road win in 5 years a few weeks back when they beat Texas State in San Marcos, Texas. That they are 4 and 5 this year with two HUGE road wins tells me this is a program on the rise. Way to go Birds!

I stand corrected. A two week lay-off can play tricks on the memory. Still, GO-T-Birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
