Olympus Jr. High teens learning, earning green

Love to see students so engaged in worthwhile projects, really getting their hands "dirty" and working hard. Kudos to the teachers for taking the extra time to make these projects available and part of the school day. Olympus, you are a great example!!

It's wonderful to see students in the 21st Century applying what they learn in the classroom to real world applications. Olympus Junior students, teachers, and anonymous donors who make events like this possible should be applauded. It makes me proud to be a Bulldog! Woof, Woof!

Authentic and real-world schoolwork promotes literacy and engagement by letting students grapple with, analyze, and propose solutions to relevant issues. This is the 21st century paradigm for democratic education and civic responsibility. Oh yes, these students could teach Lexus executives a thing or two about about changing our ways of thinking.
