The fact is, the opponent had nothing to do with the students rushing the field. It was the sheer emotion of a game that was essentially lost turning into an improbable, last play win keeping another undefeated, BCS "dream" season alive.
Best, most exciting last two minutes of a football game I have witnessed in years (while not close to the biggest win by the Utes in recent years).
Some fans are more excited about polls, rankings, stats, "honor", and tradition than they are about football. Maybe they just need something to talk about at the water cooler because they are intensely uninteresting otherwise. Not me.
Steve Smith can play. He's still a bit raw, but he has the speed and the size to one day play in the NFL. Anyone disagree?
This is exactly the type of game (remember UNLV) that Utah has lost in years past.
Don't drop the ball on this one Utah.
As an avid BYU fan, I'm looking forward to an historic matchup between two undefeated teams on November 22nd.
10-2 is not a bad season though Zoobs...victory in the Humanitarian Bowl agsinst ITT Tech...no shame in that...
