Readers' forum: Palin brainless and mean

Sarah stayed married to a man who by his associations was anti US, Obama only was an acquaintence. Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house.
His connections to the gangster radical types is a little interesting don't you think Halley? How about his using law enforcement to intimidate anti Obama protesters exercising their free speech rights?
Anyone who still has a few functioning brain cells and has done a little research into his history or lack thereof would never cast their vote for Obama.
And if he had a solid background, exactly what is it that he is proposing for this country except more of the same steal my freedom, steal my money, and sell my country to the highest bidder?
And because I have done my research, I won't be voting for the other schmuck either although he is clearly the lessor of two evils but not by much.
As supporters of any political candidate, you are going to get different views its called Semantics.
My concerns over Sarah Palin are Sarah Palin's mothering techniques--
She took her teenage, pregnant daughter to the RNC, instead of protecting her from national scrutiny. She is taking the 6-month-old, special needs baby out all hours of the day and night. Has she never heard of baby sitters or schedules? I never see her put a blanket on that baby, even on windy October days. I realize she is from an arctic state, but this is a baby. She took her 7-year-old daughter out to a hockey game, purposely dressing the girl in a hockey jersey knowing there were people in the audience who didnt like the McCain/Palin ticket. Why wouldnt she protect her daughter from the trauma of hearing people boo her mother? It appears to me, that she gives little regard to how all of this is affecting the children.
At political events, she uses her personal charm and blatant, incendiary rhetoric to incite possibility of violent behavior, and then ignores the hateful rhetoric response of the audience. And if this isnt bad enough, the woman lies like a rug!
She'll never be Woman of the Year. (only in the redneck circles)
This is what we Know about Palin:
1: She lied about the 'bridge to nowhere'
2: In the Couric Interview- she could not name a single Supreme Court case, didnt know what newspaper she reads (other than 'all of them') and she doesn't understand or even know what the Bush Doctrine it.
3: Her Husband was a member of and she associated with an organization that called for the seccession of Alaska from the union. This alone is a contradiction to her oath of office.
4: She exagerated Obama's association with Ayers
5: She wont speak in public without McCain holding her hand.
Her problem is not her demeanor. It is her indisputable incompetence.
Quit listening to Hannity and O'Riley. They spout opinion only. Search Palin on Google and you will find all the facts you need.
She brings nothing, that much is more than obvious.
Romney would have been a far better pick, especially now when you consider the problems with the economy.
Finally, is is fact that she has closer ties to a terrorist than any other candidate. She even spoke at one of their rallys.
I want to see her on Meet the Press and other news shows. MSNBC and CNN have offered - she refuses. It's time to let her loose and answer questions in her own folksy, unprofessional way. Wink, wink and the only feathers that would be wrinkled would be hers.
I'm tired of hearing that we need to let Palin be Palin. That is the problem. She IS Palin.
Sarah Palin is NOT like me and my family. AND
What are you talking about? Has the media asked for Obama's Birth Certificate? What are you trying to prove here? Obama hasn't refused to do interviews like Palin has.
Palin can sure dish it out, but she can't take it!
You lost credibility right off the bat with the comment of Obama not producing his birth certificate. He has. It is easily accessible to view on his website. Everything else in your post becomes questionable at best.
And this is the saddest part of all.
If you're going to accuse someone of being brainless, you should do better than to parrot right-wing smears that have already been disproven.
(what else is new?).
The GOP is history for a decade or quite possibly two, and it couldn't have happened to a sweeter and entirely civil bunch of people.
Now go back to The Rush Limbaugh Show for more important news and political spin.
LOL!
If "mean" means being willing to bare teeth in the performance of the on the job demands of politics, then I suspect Sarah Palin fits right in with every other politician running for office. But, somehow her naysayers want her to wear a pretty dress and sit quietly in the corner, seen but not heard. Hypocrites!!!!
Limbaugh is really doing his job I suppose.
If your really that out of touch and think this was a recent incident, do you expect us to give any creadence to your sudden moral decision to jump to the Obama band wagon just because of this "latest incident"???
I get the feeling you've been on the Obama band wagon a long time before this "latest incident". But integrity when writing political opinions is optional, right?
Republicans are very capable of projecting a go-for-the-throat aggresiveness that has not been as well-developed by Democrats. George W. Bush allowed his surrogates to carry out the dirty work while trying to remain above the fray.
John McCain called Bush on the smear tactics Bush used against him in South Carolina to little avail, but Bush's hands were as dirty as Rove's in that primary election. And remember, Bush learned about playing dirty working with Lee Atwater in his father's election in 1988.
Recently, Sarah Palin has been going through a make-over (new hairstyle, botox, collegen injections) to maintain her physical image in contrast to her political role on the stump. She is only doing what her handlers tell her to do.
Nonetheless, the Alaska scandals are starting to eat away at her position and are evident that McCain has more problems with Palin than he expected with his pitbull.
We can truly say, that she does not represent our values. She should fix her family first. How can she rule our country if she can't even govern her own family? Her record is filled with shady friends and deals, such as the bridge to nowhere. I want to know the truth behind these scams! Why does Hannity turn a blind eye to this? I want to know why he turns a blind eye to her government spending and socialism. Did you hear that she increased her town's deficit by millions?
Experience? Seeing Russia from your house does not count. Intelligence? We've seen her in the interviews and debates. Toughness? Is avoiding questions and refusing to do interviews really examples of toughness?
At this time, we the American people want a VP that is capable, competent, and has integrity. Sarah Palin doesn't have that, and it's showing in the polls.
"it is fine to criticize but the criticsm of Palin in these blogs and by left-wing hypocrites who demand tolerance and equality (but are really intolerant and elitist) seems remarkably brainless and mean"
Guilty as charged. After 8 years of Bush II, I am unapologetically biased against letting stupid people anywhere near the White House. I guess that makes me an elitist, because yeah, I think the people that run the country SHOULD be smarter than Joe Six-Pack.
It takes the focus off how truly absurd they are.
You all claim Palin to be brainless and would be a heartbeat from the presidency.
You all forgot to mention that Obama is brainless and wants us to vote for him to BE president.
Spare me.

First of all, some people say she is too mean, while others say she's not mean enough for the office. Who is right?
Some people say she throws her political weight around, while others say she's a political lightweight. Who is right on this one?
Sarah Palin was probably not the best pick for the Republican VP slot, but as long as the Democrats keep talking out of both side of their mouths, in regards to Palin, they're not going to win any arguments in my book.
