I wish I made 10mil a year so I could take a day off for a sprained finger. Suck it up!
Wow | 7:25 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
honestly, if I got stabbed I'd still have to show up for work or I'd be out of a job. In this economy, that's not a good spot to be in.

Get your OVERPAID body on the court.

No more WHINNING about fingers and hammys.

If I had invested 60+ million, I would want to be sure that player was in prime condition for the regular season games. Ah, the perks of being in the top 75 of fewer than 500 basketball professionals (not to mention being among the wealthiest NBA players).
Who cares | 10:35 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
It is the preseason! Who cares if AK misses a glorified pickup game? We're not here to play starters 30 minutes a game and go for consecutivity streaks. Let's calm down people and put down the hatchet. Let's call off the mob until AK does something worth crying about. I feel like some of you fans cry more than AK does.

Exactly. The point of the pre-season is primarily to determine the roster and experiment with different lineups. In today's NBA, the players already arrive in top shape (well, almost all of them).

Jazz roster: Set.
Perhaps looking to see if McNamara or Lyde could be backups in case of injuries or trades.

Jazz lineups: Almost set.
PG - Price/Knight battling for 10 mins behind Deron.
PF - Boozer/Millsap. Same rotation as last year.
C - Okur gets 35 mins/per. Fesenko & Koufos trying to win some PT over Collins.
SG - Brewer making a case to play more than 24 mins and rotate quarters with Korver.
SF - AK probably coming off the bench, at least until Harpring recovers. Now a battle between Korver and CJ for the starting SF spot.

I'd like to see Brewer get 30 mins/per, but then Korver doesn't get enough time. What I think will happen is CJ will eventually get benched and Korver will start at the 3.

Also, to get Millsap more time, Jazz will go small when Okur goes out.

If everyone stays healthy, there aren't enough minutes to go around. But that's a great problem to have.
