>Tcu is gonna walk on BYU

What? Is TCU actually planning on playing out the rest of their schedule? What for?

SoCalUteFan,
Good to see you still have your Ute calculator. Every time you make a comment about polls, or strength of schedule, and preface it with the word "mock", you just confirm to us all that you are still bothered by the fact that BYU is ahead of your Utes in the polls. Don't worry, just make sure your Utes beat BYU on Nov. 22, and it will all work out for you.
BYU does play in SLC | 11:03 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
On November 22. I just don't think TCU will show up.

Although, it would be interesting to put the Cougs, Utes, and Horned Frogs on the field at the same time and see which of the three wins the MWC title-- they could just play one game between the three and wouldn't have to hold all of those other games through the rest of the season.

Gentlemen. I come from the south and have enjoyed football in the south for many years. I also enjoy football here in the mountain west. After reading "TCU Amazing" I couldn't restrain myself. BYU's defense "hard hitting, fast, incredible." "I don't know anyone who could stop us." My observations lead me to believe that if you don't see football up close and in person you don't know how fast they are. I have seen up close and in person in the south and mountain west. Neither BYU, Utah, TCU or any other mwc team can compete in speed, strength, hard hitting, etc. with the upper echelon teams in the south. All mwc teams would be in the bottom half of the leagues right now. You just can't recruit the top athletes. After a number of years I could see a mwc team compete in the south because they would get recruits based on the conf. they played in. You have not seen speed, strength and hard hitting till you have seen football in the south in person. Just ask Hawaii and Boise State when they played Georgia. Give it a break BYU dreamers of NC hopes.

This will be a football game. TCU is tough on defense. BYU has got to be ready for 4 quarters of all out effort, can't play conservative one bit. TCU will be ready to showcase all of their options. BYU has to be ready to shine with multiple offensive players and stellar defense. Living in the desert, we've always said, horny toads. In respect, I will call them Horned Frogs. TCU will be tough on Thursday and as a Cougar grad from '85, goodness, Steve Young was the QB when I was there, I bet BYU will have their hands full. I've always liked the Frogs purple color - I think they have some of the best team uniforms in college sports. Am cheerin for the cougars, but I think the Frogs will be tough, very tough.
TCU wins but close game | 11:45 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
TCU 21
BYU 17

TCU will not only dominate on the D side of the ball, but they will put some points on the board.

TCU will be ready because this could be their bowl game of the season.

Play ball and let the chips fall.

Nothing else matters but the score at the end.

You just completely missed the point. For so many years BYU has had a terrible defense, compared to the best teams in the nation. The point was that on September 13, I saw something that I had never seen before in the BYU defense--hard hitting, fast, incredible. My guess is you didn't see that game. It was a standout; they hadn't played that way before and haven't since.

My question is, why don't we see more of that level of play consistently? As a previous post said, I agree that BYU seems to be playing down to the level of its opponent.

Of course that's my opinion. I might have seen some "upper echelon" football up close and in person. I'm not from the Mountain West. I'm from Oklahoma.
