George played very well and it was nice to see him with the two TD catches. I believe it was the 2nd TD catch that the TV analysts mistook him for being Pitta . . . which I would take as an awesome compliment!

BYU 24 TCU 10

Nice to see that when teams key on Pitta the tight-end position isn't forgotten.

Great game. Another fine Tight End who made big plays at a key time....

It's like Mili and Lewis. BYU is so deep at tight end. Next year we have Holt, Mahina, Wilson, Friel. It's going to be awesome.

Even Better | 11:45 a.m. Oct. 12, 2008
Lining up Pitta and George together is even more dangerous for opposing teams than Harline and Coats was. Pitta and George are both better receivers and runners than Coats was - although Coats was probably the best TE we've had at being able to take on LBs and clear holes which is why he is a starting FB in the NFL. I do think Pitta has just enough toughness to go with his receiving and running skills to be a starting NFL TE - unlike Harline and probably George.

You mean the Cougs found another weapon? Sorry Bronco for being spoiled. I keep taking these wins from teams that always bring their A game.

Go Cougs!

I've always thought that George was just as sure handed as Pitta. Good to see him get some touches.

I like George a lot better than Pitta. This just goes to show that most skill players on BYU's team can catch. Maybe if we applied this to Collie, and put Ashworth and Mahuika in more, Collie would be more focused and bring a better game...

George > Pitta | 4:35 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
I think George is a better all around TE than Pitta. He is a much better blocker, and he is constantly open. I wish Max would look his way more instead of just forcing a ball to Collie. Against good teams, that isn't going to work. George is faster and stronger than Pitta. I have a feeling that if he was Max's brother in law, he would be getting the balls thrown his way.

George is a flat out stud! I couldnt agree with the above comment more about how he is actually a better TE than Pitta, he just doesnt get the ball thrown to him. George would be a starter on any other team in the top 25. It is obvious Hall has his favorites. He'd be putting up even bigger numbers if he would distribute the ball better, especially to George. Throw him the ball Max!!!
