Hey Pleasant Grove, don't use your "government speech" to establish one religion over another and you won't have to deal with this!

What is the purpose of allowing monuments of other religions and not the LDS church?

Utah is full of state-sponsored LDS monuments. How could you have missed them?

When the leader of a non-LDS faith dies, does the governor order the US FLAG to be lowered to half mast? I think not.

P.S. the monument was donated by the FOE not the LDS Church. And in reality it has nothing to do with the Church other than in the minds of the ever present conspiracy minded secular humanists.

Bottom line up front. Pleasant Grove, as any other organization relied upon to monitor donated items within their site, should have the right to accept or deny whatever they wish. If the donating party disagrees, they can take their donation some where else! There will never be a one size fits all "freedom of speech" rule to make everyone happy. Just take the donation somewhere else where it is wanted.
