Madame Butterfly Classic Puccini opera of love, betrayal is audience favorite

I was 18 years of age when I auditioned for the Portland Metropolitan Opera. I
have studied professionally since the age of thirteen. I did receive acclaim for
being the youngest opera singer at that time 1964 to be exact! I sang several
operas as well as operettas! Madame Butterfly was performed several summers in
Portland's rose gardens! Our conductor Henry Holt was new to the
metropolitan having roots from Vienna, Austria! I have sang professionally since
then and Madame Butterfly has and always will be my favorite!
